No change. Have you read thru fridge manual? Yes no information in the troubleshooting section and nothing online from Dometic What Brand/model of fridge? If by chance it's a dometic fridge, what you are experiencing with the short cycling is a common issue. There is a fix, but in many cases requires pulling the fridge out to fix/replace the thermal switch and properly locate it. The only other alternative I'm aware of is installing a solar vent fan in the stack. In my fridge that keeps the 12V fan from running during the day, and in cool evenings the 12V fan doesn't short cycle. Thank You for your reply. It is a Dometric DM2652FLBX and I have confirmed it is the fan in the exhaust stack. I'm not sure I want to pull the fridge and my stack does not go to the roof line so for now we will just live with the problem. I did send an email to Dometic to see if they had engineered a solution. Thanks again.Refridgerator noiseI hear a near constant noise from my fridge. It sounds like a fan and it runs for about 10 seconds every 15 to 20 seconds. This constant on off sequence is IMO also running my batteries down in 2 days when I'm dry camping. The noise happens regardless of what mode (electric or propane) the fridge is running on. Any thoughts on what is happening? Any thoughts on hopw to resolve the issue? Thanks,Roll Call Alaska 2014We traveled to Alaska this summer and followed and used Jane Trupp's "Roll call Alaska 2013" it was so helpful and I once again Thank her for starting the topic. I'm starting this one for all you lucky folks headed to Alaska in 2014. Post your plans and travels and if your lucky you may cross paths with another "Roll Call Alaska 2014" traveler.Re: On the Road with "Roll Call Alaska 2013"......We did the circle and went back on the Alcan then the Bighorn to Grand Cache and Icefields to Calgary. Wouldn't have changed a thing. But the Alcan from the Canadian border to Haines Jct is rough, just take your time and enjoy.Re: On the Road with "Roll Call Alaska 2013"......We are camped at Jacobs Lake tonight and will be home in Flagstaff tomorrow I can't say enough to Thank each and everyone who have posted information , answered our questions, given us good advice and simply sharing this wonderful trip with us. Sue "Scully's" was in fact the 1118 and is still standing though not open any longer we worried so much we wouldn't be able to find it and your advice put us spot on. Janet I THANK YOU! for a job well done. I could turn around and do it again next year but not sure the rest of the crew (including the cat) would want to be out that long again.Re: On the Road with "Roll Call Alaska 2013"...... jandjhawk wrote: I was also wondering when in September we need to be heading to the lower 48? First time here and don't know what to expect. We also have to consider the weather in Jasper, Banif, & Calgary. We would like to enter the US through Glacier NP and visit. Should that be a safe plan if we leave AK after Sept 15 or so?? When the fire weed is eye high and red, head south. That said I have only heard that I'm sure you can hit some spats of weather but also some Indian summer weather as well. The Canadian and Alaska weather this summer has been exceptional and we were fortunate enough to have been here. Just crossed into the USA at Coutts yesterday and now in Bozeman, Tomorrow we start our get home quick part of the trip and I'm honestly very sad it's almost over. JANE Thank You so much for starting this topic and maybe we will see you in Flagstaff or Bullhead some day.Re: On the Road with "Roll Call Alaska 2013"......Continuing south we had a wonderfull stay at Laird Hot Springs the provincial campground is top notch in our book and the hot springs were great though crowded. Fort Nelson last night and hope to make Dawson this afternoon.Re: On the Road with "Roll Call Alaska 2013"......In Teslin and headed to Watson Lake and then Laird River Hot Springs, a few short hauls to let our bones settle down from the Tok to Haines Jct drive.Re: On the Road with "Roll Call Alaska 2013"......Out of Alaska and into Anchorage :D for a couple of nights, dropping our traveling partners off at the airport for a trip to Kodiak. We will pick them up again on Wednesday (if they don't become dinner for the bears) and start the crawl home to Arizona. We are headed to Whittier tomorrow for a couple of days.
