Re: Melted front ABS Sensors
ABS light on in 1997 Winnebago Brave. Took it in and had the abs sensors changed. 5 mos later coming down through BC we heard a noise it got louder and louder and we stopped in Prince George to have a mechanic look at it. The left front brake pad and caliper were melted as was ABS sensor. The mechanic said a defective brake pad was installed. Took 2 days and 1700 to repair. I have all the parts and will return to first mechanic in Seattle. Does anyone know of a recall for this. I need a catalytic converter for my 1997 Winnebago Brave with a 454 engine. The shop where we had brakes and an alignment done said they had to order part and it was $2800. I have searched the web and can't find one over $200 or $300. Is this part overpriced at $2800?4.3KViews0likes12Comments
