Thanks to all. Everyone appears satisfied with the longer gas rigs so I feel reassured. I don't think I will need to spend the extra bucks for a diesel. Henry

We had the same problem with our Vista. Could not make it happen at the repair shop but only at the campgrounds. I complained to Kwikee and they blew me off. Then I wrote to Winnebago and Kwikee replaced the motor and the control box under their warranty. I paid for labor only, about $50. Check your documents, the steps have an extended warranty period. 38 ' gas chassis
Thinking about moving up to a 38' gas motorhome, probably a Winnebago Adventurer. Would like to hear from anyone who has a similar coach. Does it have sufficient power and how does it handle? Henry
