My F550 came stock with one, but I replaced with a much larger one when I installed the camper. You can really tell the difference. Took most of the roll out. 550's have 10 leaf springs plus the helper. Wish there was a heavier front bar, but no luck so far. My f550 could have had two but didn't so I got sick of replacing the stock ones and put a 250 amp one in it's place. There is a heavy duty rewire kit that I got at NAPA. At a show this Spring, a dealer had a "SHOW SPECIAL" a 3500 Ram with a Hemi and a Host Mamouth for the low, low price of only $99,900! Nearly everyone couldn't believe things cost that much. My truck, an f550, would cost $70,000 today with all the mods that I have, so 30,000 for a Host wouldn't buy it. Need another 30k. Thanks for the info. Used to the old Faulkner that you had to slide up and was always on an angle. The Dometic 9100 goes right out straight and you have to pull it down for a run off slope. Wife says so long as there's shade, she doesn't care how far it sticks out. Have only about $425 in it for a brand new assembly, so can't complain I guess.151Views0likes0CommentsRe: frame flex with anti sway bar
I replaced mine with a 11/2 over the 1". Rides terrible, Straight ahead there should be no difference, but did take out all the sway. My F550 has the bed welded to the frame with angle iron so maybe there is no flex. When I get the camper on we'll go from there.338Views0likes0Comments
