Re: Home carpet in RV with slide
The carpet in my 97 coachman C is tired and I am planning on replacing it with large blocks of linoleum tile. I am wondering how carpeting is applied in the factory. I havnt tried removing it yet. Does the factory usually glue down and if so what is the best way to remove the old carpet without leaving underlayment on the floor that couls interfere? Well we are well into our maiden trip with our class C. Left NH Mid Jan and are now in Pensacola starting to enjoy the warmth. We left home undecided about a toad or frog but after these miles feel it would be a good thing to consider. My question is what are the benefits to toad or frog. I have a front wheel drive automatic tranny Taurus can it be toad or do the wheels need to be up on a dolly. In looking at the campers in the campgrounds it would appear to be simpler to frog, is that correct? What are the cost implications of each. We use our hot water for dishes and showers in the morning and dishes at night. It seems like a waste of propane to leave the heater on when were not using hot water. I realize it takes time and propane to reheat the water but it seems that shutting the heater off and reheating each AM and PM would save propane. I am leaving next Saturday and trying to plan my trip through NJ to FL in my 28 ft C Class.and cant find restrictions for the Garden State Parkway or NJ turnpike. Im using Good Sams trip planner. I want to cross the Hudson over the Tappen Zee or as a back up the Beacon Newburg bridge. I am going So to a stopover around North Brunswick NJ Wall mart but cant determine the best way to link up with the NJ TPK. I am concerned with truck and weight restrictions. Thanks for all the great info. I am excited to try my antenna for regular TV. I havent watched network TV in years!!! Crasster thanks for the router tip. I was a sailor and had info on a wifi booster called The Boss but couldnt find it. This sounds like a good substitute solution.
