All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Strange Directv QuestionI think Randu is closest to my solution. I have same equipment I have had for last 3 years. We moved RV about 100 feet North of old position and moved satellite & tripod with it. So I had to re-align. In fact, directv said that it seems to be just the one satellite I can't zero in on. So, I guess my next question is does it make a difference which of the 4 positions on the LNB I screw the 2 coax cables into? This weekend I will try a re-alignment. Hopefully I can get it fixed. Thanks for everything folks. I appreciate all of the thoughtful responsesStrange Directv QuestionHello all and thank you in advance for your help. I am getting perfect reception on all channels EXCEPT my local channels in my fifth wheel. We are in our permanent spot at a lake about 40 miles from home. Have been here in 2 different sites for 3 years. Problem just started couple of weeks ago. Directv says problem with one satellite & I should change service address to lake address so they can send tech. I am hesitant to do that BUT this is about to drive me crazy! I don't understand why I am good on every satellite but local channel one! Any DIY suggestions?? Please!!Re: Air ConditionerThanks gat75. It seems to have a split personality. It goes on & off repeatedly sometimes & other times its like its stuck on. Neighbor is electrician so I will have him help me test. Thanks again. There was talk in earlier post of a freeze sensor. Finally located that. It is attached to "fins" but bottom of it is pulled away somewhat. Problem?Air ConditionerI have a 2005 Open Road fifth wheel. The AC was "freezing up" not blowing very much air & not cold. I would turn off for awhile and would be ok. Now it is tripping the breaker too. I am a fairly handy and tried to read on the forum all I could. I have cleaned the "fins" and washed things down up top (I hate climbing up there by the way!) there is a wire that comes out of a control box that just hangs there. Have no idea what that is (a sensor of some sort?) ideas on what else I should do or where I should start now? You all have great help in the past and I appreciate all your help in advance.Stupid satellite tv questionOk. I apologize in advance if this seems stupid to some. However, I have always gotten good advice on here and now I can't find anyone "live" to understand. I have a new to me 2005 Open Road fifth wheel. There is a place labeled "satellite in" where I ran coax to from my portable dish. TV in living room (where "satellite in" is located works great. I simply ran coax from a wall plate labelled "satellite" to my box. There are 3 other coax wall plates: 2 unlabeled and one which reads "tv/cable." In kitchen there are 3 total wall plates with one blank. In bedroom, two coax wall plates, one blank, one labeled "tv/ cable." TV's in kitchen & bedroom with separate directv boxes don't work at all. Of course when I call directv they are of no help only to say its a connection problem (duh!!). I am asking where to start, what to look for. I have already looked underneath in all compartments trying to find something disconnected. Do I take wall plates off? Please help!!
