I'm using the PA TP going from Pitts to NY.Re: Will an EZ-Pass transponder work with a cabover? DrewE wrote: I would imagine a fair few of both sorts have done that. I haven't generally heard of problems with it there for class C's, and would not expect that truck campers would have problems either. If it doesn't read, it may do better on the dashboard at the base of the windshield, or in the worst case you can get a transponder that mounts to the front license plate mount. Alternately, particularly if you have a front window on the truck camper, you could put it up there rather than in the truck cab proper. If the transponder can't be read, they'll generally read (photograph) the license plate of the vehicle and find the account that way. That can also happen when the battery in the transponder wears out. Thanks! Didn't know it had a battery. Thought it was just a chip. Will an EZ-Pass transponder work with a cabover?I have a truck camper. I was instructed to mount the transponder a little under the rear view mirror on the windshield. I was wondering if the cabover is going to be a problem with reading the transponder. Anyone try it on a TC or Class C cabover? Thanks!Re: Using silicone on a rubber roof? This pretty much answered my questions. Great rubber roof resource. http://www.bestmaterials.com/RV_roof_repair_info.aspx?gclid=CjwKEAjw2qzHBRChloWxgoXDpyASJAB01Io0ftc-lExChAX5UICFxHvk9J8IHzcLYyA2HuIgI4_YFxoCUlrw_wcBRe: toilet paper donn0128 wrote: Buy a new TP holder. 10 bucks at most hardware stores. Yep, that is what I did. TP comes in all different sizes now, too hard to keep up. http://www.sanliv.com/bathroom-accessories/images/vertical-spare-toilet-roll-holder-8751F.jpgRe: White rubber roof life and replacement cost? kohldad wrote: If I get it re roofed down the road I will take out the escape hatch on the Northstar's roof. Please don't remove the escape hatch. While it is highly unlikely you would ever need it, it would be a shame not to have it when you did. I have a piece of 3/4" foam board in mine so almost as well insulated as the roof. But if I ever need to, I can easily pop it out. And it's not just in case of a fire, but also bear or two legged nasty trying to come in the back door. OK, thanks for the advice!Re: Using silicone on a rubber roof? Thanks for the help. Amazing how one caulk wont sub for another. I figured almost anything would be OK. I will check out the Eternabond and BU caulk tube option. Hi Old Biscuit! Yes, have not had to bother the group for many years. My Northstar TC has been fine for all this time. Now it is starting to age and had some problems / questions. I told you I would be gone once my rig was in ship shape and I was good to my word. Thanks for remembering me!Using silicone on a rubber roof?In an emergency can I get by with some clear or white silicone for sealing cracks on a rubber roof?Re: Do you bleach / santize your hot water tank?I was worried the bleach would interact with the hot tank, so that was what was holding me back.Re: White rubber roof life and replacement cost?Never knew bed liner spray could be done. Sounds like a fantastic and cheap alternative. I called up a RV dealer and he said it is about $3000 for a new rubber roof on a TC. Said he could repaint it for a fraction. I never thought the rubber roofs were so $$.
