We are traveling from AZ to TX in about 2 weeks and would like a good planner to help me out. I can use just a good ole atlas but figured something else would be usefulRe: Winnebago RV house batteriesThank you for the welcome, but at the same time it would have been easier to ask as opposed to assuming, you know what they say about assuming?Re: Winnebago RV house batteries 2oldman wrote: Tfaust wrote: I don't have a DVM to test it.. I'm not familiar with motor homes and house batteries House batteries are either 6 or 12v. Is it possible for you to go buy a meter? Without data we can't tell you much. Yeah it's possible however after J Roosters comment I was hit with a big bag of dumbass bricks, the switch does not has a discernible on and off position and I could not tell if it was on or off I flicked it on and the RV started working like it was brand new and I felt dumb. However I think buying one would benefit me in the futureRe: Winnebago RV house batteriesJ-rooster, I will go check that out. My steps are working as advertised so maybe it is just that switch and thank you for the warm welcome my last post was directed at Ava. Are you familiar with this year having any ABS issues? When I brake it pulls right, when I let off the brakes it jerks back left. I had it in a shop recently and they inspected the brake system and found no issuesRe: Winnebago RV house batteriesNot to be rude but I'm not an idiot I do know how to read a volt meter I spent 15 years working on helicopters in the army. However I'm not familiar with motor homes and house batteries since I've owned it for only several months which half of them were spent in a repair shop. When it comes to a $40,000 investment I'd rather get information and help from those who has spent years with these and not treated like a childRe: Winnebago RV house batteriesI'm sorry exactly sure where the disconnect would be, the meter inside does not read zero it doesn't read at all. Generator isn't starting or even clicking or anything. The lines on the batteries are tight and connected maybe a fuse? I don't have a DVM to test itWinnebago RV house batteriesSo we recently (June) purchased abused 04 Winnebago adventurer and have been running into issues (blown head gasket) most recently my house batteries which are brand new and are 6V. Well now they are showing 0 volts in the cabin. Can't start generator, refrigerator, lights on the inside. What could possibily be the issues and how would I go about recharging the house batteries? What in the RV charges the house batteries? I guess I should also mention that the RV sat for several month while getting repaired. The volt meter inside does not give a reading just stays blank. Or do I just need to replace the house batteries?
