I read the Cummins forum and the majority of ball joint issues are guys with larger tires. Got 32,000 on mine and no BJ issues. Got an '06 3500 dually with 112k. Half those miles were with oversized tires. Truck still drives like it did when I bought it. Getting the steering linkage done because of two other recalls.Re: Rash of Stolen Trucks in KCRavelco is what I have in all of my vehicles,....three pickup trucks, a suburban, and a Kenworth RV hauler. Vehicles, simply will not start, nor run without your plug. The plugs are not universal as well. The plug for my Suburban will not work in any of my other vehicles, and vice versa with the others. Therefore, no one can steal a Revelco plug to use in another vehicle that is required to use one. One of the installers told me that the Ford Superduties are the eases to steal. I forgot why, because it was about 3 years ago when I had them done. I wish I had known about it 10 years ago. I would've saved a ton of money by not buying aftermarket alarms. If I get a chance, I will post a video of how it works.Re: Differential ratio? fla-gypsy wrote: Did a check on my 6.8L/4.10 rear with the 5 sp auto and I was turning just 2350 RPM's at 75 mph. 3000 rpm's would indicate very low ratios in the 5 sp manual transmission He could be running smaller tires, as well.Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today??? Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. He must of been doing over 80mph to get a 75mph average. And people wonder why RV tires blow out. For the first 4 yrs or so, I used to tow my trailers 80 mph,...maxed out or not, going across Arizona and New Mexico, and 75 in Texas, when they had the day/night speed limits. It didn't matter to me whether they were loaded or not either. I never had any problems with tires. During that time i was running factory tires on my trailers until i needed new ones. It took me one trip to the dunes at 70, to realize how much fuel i was saving. Every since, I don't drive over 70,...and mostly hang around 65.Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???took it, and put it in storage.Re: Generator break in?Sometimes it does just get too hot in there, for whatever reason. I've had mine quit for no reason, and then I see that it seems pretty hot in the compartment. I open the compartment door, and never have any other problems with it.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here Mike Up wrote: bigg-limo wrote: Pat in Speedway wrote: Here's my upgraded tow monster we bought Friday. We went form an '03 Toyota Sequoia to this '09 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. Towing our 29' Shasta has now become much more enjoyable. The Sequoia's 118" wheel base didn't fare well with the length of the Shasta, creating some unsettling interstate driving. I hitched up today and took it on an interstate run around town. The difference was remarkable! Surprised the towing mpg on the Sierra (6.0L V8) is about 1mpg higher than the Sequoia (4.7 L V8). We weren't in favor of adding new debt, but it was either that or sell the trailer and buy a tent. Nah! Nice truck, but you can't expect much with that 6.0L. It's an engine that just gets you from point A to B,...with nothing exciting about how you got there. While towing, I wouldn't want an 'exciting' ride. I'll take the calm and easy ride. What I meant by "exciting" was things like acceleration,...or just maintaining a decent speed while climbing hills. That was just in reference to a Duramax, since he has a GMC,...which is why I stated point A to B, lol.Re: Toyhauler 14ft garageFuzion 399 has a 14' garage. Hauled a friend's RZR4 to the dunes with extra room to spare.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here Pat in Speedway wrote: Here's my upgraded tow monster we bought Friday.
