We've just found that the fixtures we like (the two just mentioned included) are just too big for the space. We've taken several fixtures home and tried to use them, but they either get in the way of opening cabinet doors, look to big for the small area or are practically sitting on my husband's head when he sits on the loveseat. I did discuss lighting options with a company in MN. They mentioned they would think about opening a line for RV and boat fixtures, but we'd need to hire a lighting designer to design the fixtures. Then they'd manufacture them. -Roni*Re: Before and After PhotosThanks, all! I did get my curtain issued resolved for the moment anyway, by taking the sea foam curtains down. It's a shame, because when I'd sit on the couch looking toward the love seat, the sun would shine through the curtains. When I'd look through the sea foam colored curtains, I could see the shells and starfish from the white curtains underneath. And with the sea foam curtains having a wave type texture in them, it was like looking into the ocean. Very pretty. But the whole thing just didn't fit nicely in the space we have. The white curtains look really nice during the day when the day/night shades are open, but not crazy about the look of them at night when the shades are closed. Oh well! -Roni*Re: Motorhome Front TV Cabinet ModificationYour place is looking really nice! Good job on the front cabinet. -RoniRe: Before and After PhotosThanks, all of you! -RoniRe: Motorhome Kitchen Back-Splash and Valance ModificationWow, that looks really nice! Good job! -RoniRe: Before and After Photos Does the desk come off the wall to shut the slide or does it fold up? It's on shelf brackets so it comes off the wall and can be raised and lowered to different heights. Easy and inexpensive. -Roni*Before and After PhotosWe've finally completed the remodel of our rig. We have a few minor tweaks, like I'm not that happy with the curtains and someone's making a slip cover for me, so the front of my couch is in their shop at the moment and the arms aren't done yet. Since my last post we put wood veneer on the walls, installed new flooring, had the carpeting replaced and did something special with a faux window in the bathroom. I really like how that turned out! I've posted before and after photos on my blog if you're interested in taking a look. http://countyroadj.blogspot.com -RoniRe: Dining Area To Bar Area It's missing something very important! Where is the bottle of beer on each table to prove they are sturdy enough for their intended use? Don't forget the peanuts! Looks nice! -RoniRe: Remodeling I've seen some beach weathered plank wallpaper at Menard's that would look nice on a wall. Yes, we looked at that just after we'd looked at some reclaimed weathered wood, peel and stick planks at Stikwood. http://www.stikwood.com This stuff is really nice! If we were in a stick and brick we'd use it in a heartbeat. But the stuff is expensive and very heavy! We bought nine, 4' x 8' sheets of the other stuff and it came to a total of 40 lbs., including the box, which just arrived today, so we've got some work to do! -RoniRe: 9-11 Fire Truck RV - Incredible RemodelThat's awesome! What a fun project! -Roni*
