I'm finally done searching. :)Re: Trouble with leaking around toilet flangeThe last incident was caused from "friends" who we allowed to stay in the motorhome.that didn't follow instructions. When the blackwater tank was overfilled,it leaked from the the floor seal. I've had this problem in the past. I have three questions: 1. Should that seal on the floor prevent water from leaking when it gets over full? Or is that gasket just to prevent odors to come up and not seal from water leakage? I've had this toilet out about 4 times for various reasons and replaced the ring with a new one every time. 2. When i install the toilet, I cannot feel any compression, or seal betweenl the toilet and the ring. Could the flange be so high that it prevents the toilet from sealing? 3. If the flange is to high to prevent the proper sealing, can I find a thicker gasket to compensate? The flange on the tank is glued in, so it cannot be moved. Thanks for any and all suggestions. I've searched online and cannot find anything about finding a thicker gasket, although I thought I did read about someone somewhere getting one from a plumbing wareeshouse. Brad N. Do you remember if it vibrated when you drove it to the dealer to get the tires installed?Tow Dolly for Grand CaravanWe have a 2017 Grand Caravan. Our motorhome only has a 5000 lb rated hitch. The van weighs around 4500 lb. I've been looking at the Acme Eze tow. It only weighs 380 lbs. Has anyone here have any experience with this unit? Thank youRe: New AC fan runs constantlyIt is on Auto. In fact, last night I tried the heat pump on Auto. The fan does turn off with the heat pump when set on Auto but not on AC when set on Auto.New AC fan runs constantlyI have a 2002 Holiday Rambler Neptune 34PDQ diesel motorhome. I just installed an Atwood 15028 AC unit, which has a heat pump for providing heat also.. It performs great, except for the fan not shutting off when it reaches the correct temperature. I have left it run for hours on AC/AUTO, checked the air temp on the thermostat, raised the temp so the fan should shut off, but it does not. I have found out that the sensor for the temp is not in the thermostat itself, but in the return air duct somewhere in the AC unit. Does anyone else have this make/model of AC unit and have any input? Here is a link to the unit I installed:Atwood 15028 Thank you very much.Re: Slide outs not working , intermitently...I found the control board. It is in the battery compartment. There are 4 relays on the board. I'm assuming two for each slide, one for extend and one for retract. New relays are $8 each. I will replace all of them and see what happens. The batteries are all up to the proper voltage, 12.6-12.8. If new relays do not take care of the problem, I will order a whole new board. They are about $100.00 including the relays. Thanks for all your input. BradSlide outs not working , intermitently...We have a 2002 Holiday Rambler Neptune 34PDQ with electric dual slide outs. I attempted to extend the bedroom. It would not even click when extending, but would click when I tried to retract. The living room was just the opposite. It did extend but then would not retract. It would click when trying to extend (while it was extended) but no click when attempting to retract. So the bottom line is: the bedroom would retract when it was retracted, but would not extend.(no click) And the living room would extend when extended but would not retract.(no click) A few hours later, they both started working and are still working. I have called HR parts line and they gave me a part # for a controller/control board. The problem I'm having is this: I cannot find this controller. I've looked pretty much every where. Is it possible that it does not have a controller? Perhaps it has some sort of solenoid for each room? I replaced the bedroom slide switch last summer. I ve tried to find a schematic of the slide out system to no avail. I am stumped. If any one has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.Re: How to Tighten RV Awning Springs over the slideoutI just got finished tightening the spring on a slide out cover (NOT the awning). I have Carefree slide out covers, 2002 vintage. I wish I had taken pictures or video of what I did, because there are no instructions anywhere that I could find online to show how to tighten up the springs only. There are plenty of instructions on replacing the fabric, tho. The left hand side (as you are looking at the slide out from outside) was the side with the spring tension on it. Take off the end cap and unscrew the one screw holding the bottom panel on to get access to the set screw that holds the bracket in place. It's a small screw and easy to drop. Mark the end of the bracket before taking off so you can slide it back on in the same distance. I slid out the bracket from it's holder but hold tight, because of the tension. Once I had it out, I let off all of the tension off of it because I wanted to start from scratch. Then I rotated it 14 times,(I just turned 65 and I could hold it with no problem) put a nail or a small screw driver in the hole that aligns when the bracket is where it will slide back on and slid it back on to the mark I made. Replace set screw, screw holding the bottom panel and replace the end cap. I was a bit leery about pulling out the end so far to get it out of the bracket attached to the slide out, but it worked out fine. There is no more slack with slide out open or closed. I had replaced the fabric on both slide outs, and I think the new fabric may have stretched a bit over time. post some pics if you need any more help.
