HelpConsidering a used Ford Escape... until I found this: http://www.maliasmiles.com/blog/2009-ford-escape-dinghy/ This after just after having read this: http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/towingguides/10FLMrvESCAPREsep09.pdf I have to imagine many have gone through the same research and shaking of the head. Seems like some reputable group would have developed a reference guide of which vehicles can be safely flat towed... unless the one by motor-homes magazine is it?? The 5ver route is looking better and better.I'm Going Dingy... HelpWow, I though narrowing the field of which class A was challenging enough... now we're looking to replace our 1998 Ford Explorer and I want to make sure whatever we get can be safely flat-towed. Getting into all this has me considering going back to our original plan... a 5Ver! I have found the Motorhome website that lists the 2013 vehicles they say are flat tow safe... but see tons of info on this subject that would suggest those are not the only vehicles OK to tow. Does anyone know of a comprehensive list of vehicles that can be safely flat towed?Re: Dinghy... Help, My Head HurtsDid not know we had a Dingy Forum...but makes sense given the myriad of questions about this topic...thanks!Dinghy... I can give you a CO experience, but that's probably not relevant, although I can't imagine it would be much different. Funny you say that... I was 30+ layers into the website when the thought came to me "why not ask the forum". I'm still trying to get the answer via WA DMV website... if you find the answer there, please forward. ThanksWA Resident Buying Used in AZHas anyone on the forum, that is a WA state resident, purchased a new/used class A motorhome from AZ and registered it in WA? Specifically, how does the sales tax/registration work? We're real close to pulling the trigger on a coach from a private party and I haven't had time to call the WA DMV (which I dread given the circuitous phone options and seemingly lack of competence these days). I found a few related scenarios for buying/registering in other states...but not AZ to WA. If anyone has recently done such a transaction, I would like to hear how it went. I'm told WA will credit the sales tax amount paid in AZ...but wondering about any other hidden costs buying out of state will involve. ThanksNational Sea Breeze 8311LXHi All, The wife and I are looking at 2005-2008 8311LX coaches. We saw one locally that sold before we decided to pursue. We really liked the layout and what appears to be mid-high end quality. They offered these with the WH chassis and 8.1 Vortec which is, from what I've researched, favored a bit over the V10. I'd like to hear from anyone who has owned the 8311LX as to how it has performed and any specific issues you have had. Looks like NADA prices for these in good+ condition run $45-55K... not sure how that compares with comparable rigs. ThanksRe: Aqua Hot SystemsHow about its use in hot weather -- when you want hot water but don't need heat in the coach? Also, do they tend to give off odor and more costly to maintain?Aqua Hot SystemsMy neighbor's Monaco has an Aqua Hot water heating system and he was showing and telling me how efficient these are. I had not heard about them until then and did a little i-search about them. Seems like only the high end coaches have these...but perhaps other on-demand systems are as good? He mentioned that it provides heat for the coach as well and is very cost efficient. Can the AH systems be installed in coaches not having them and are they worth the $$? Thanks
