Hello all, I have a friend who has a F150 who is currently towing a 30ft bumper pull trailer who is looking to move up to a 5th wheel. I am concerned that while the dealership says he'll be fine that he'll have clearance issues with his small 5'5" bed (his F150 is a crew cab). He has already upgraded his tires and suspension so handling the pin weight (he's looking at the lighter halfton 5th wheels with pin weights around 1400lbs). Hello, It’s been a while since I posted on RV.net but we are considering a new rig and am starting to do some research. One of our biggest questions / concerns since we now live in the desert SW is whether the onboard A/C (run by generator) is powerful enough to keep the coach cool when going down the road in 100+ degrees? Thanks for all the replies...we’ll probably test the unit out initially and see if we in fact need or want the levelers before spending $4k. That was the one thing I loved About our TC was the ability to level! Our 2018 coach has the electric stabilizers on it already so while I know they won’t level they are supposed to help a lot with stability! Neschultz...are your HWH levelers able to adjust more then 3”? Someone mentioned that was a limitation to levelers. Also, is the 4K a good estimate on an installed price? Hello all, I've bounced around a lot over the years from multiple Truck Campers to our current travel trailer, and now we are considering trying our hand with a Winnebago View 24J. This is a new unit and one that has just about every option imaginable to include solar and full body paint. The only issues we have seen initially is the lack of a net or something to keep the kids from falling out of the overhead bunk, and auto levelers. We are looking to be in the Idaho Falls area during the month of July and are looking for recommendations from anyone who is familiar with the area on suggestions for camping areas. I'll be working out of the Idaho National Laboratories and will need to be within striking distance of that facility. Secondly, we are planning on heading into Montana prior to or after our time in Idaho with Glacier National Park as our ultimate destination so any recommendations around Glacier would be appreciated as well. I have well over 200 days now in our 1172 and have been all over in it with as many as 5 staying in it to just myself. Its a great setup and one I have yet to find that can beat it. We did a couple things when we ordered ours that we are glad we did...we deleted the oven and upgraded the microwave to a convection/microwave so the wife has more cabinet space. We also upgraded to 2 x factory installed solar panels which we love...makes topping off batteries even faster in the morning.220Views0likes0Comments
