The Freightliner is a good vehicle. Don't forget that a street legal, licensed scooter or motorcycle is a motor vehicle as well. Get you a trailer and haul the moto on your travels. They will come in handy for getting supplies or sightseeing while your RV is docked at a site. I sold my 5'er and am looking for a used twin bed Class C under $90K. I like the Winnie and Itasca View/Navion 24V's but I'm a little scared of the M-B reliability and maintenance costs. My German mechanic advised me to stay away from the first DEF V6's, I believe 2008-2010. A lot of van life people seem to like the Transit eco V-6 gassers. The Ekko has the 3.5 V6 eco boost but it doesn't have a slide and the floorplan looks cramped compared to the View. I have rented several V10 gassers and hated them so that's out. I liked the layout of the Fuse 23A but apparently the 3.2L i-5 Powerstroke diesel has problems as well. Ford seemed to dump it when they upgraded the Transit chassis. Any suggestions for these parameters from another manufacturer? I'm kind of wary of Thor and Forest River. I'm coming up on two years with my Sailuns. Very satisfied. No issues with the tire itself, just a slow leak around the valve stem due to internal corrosion on the inside of the factory alloy wheel. Word to the wise... Yes that's exactly what my calculations revealed. The published 11,030 is the figure I found from Lichtsinn RV. A 2022 Honda CRV curb weight is ~3600 lbs. + 90 lbs for 15 gallons gas + ~40 lbs (strictly a guess) for towbar and bracket would give me a gross weight of toad vehicle of 3730. Well under the 4,220 lb. figure. I'm an old pilot so I'm used to figuring weight and balances. Now, back to my original query. I'm looking for a four down toad in a certain size and weight parameter. I googled looking for a toad to use as a dinghy for a 3500 Sprinter Class C. The recommendations were vehicles like Jeeps, F150 pickups, Chevy Colorado, Equinox. That's heavier than I want. Aren't there some scooters like a Kia Soul or Honda CRV or HRv that'll flat tow? A Honda Fit or BMW Mini are a little too small.
