Don't forget that a street legal, licensed scooter or motorcycle is a motor vehicle as well. Get you a trailer and haul the moto on your travels. They will come in handy for getting supplies or sightseeing while your RV is docked at a site. Plus Progressive is using Flo to push motocycle insurance. I have experienced that on my 2500 GMC pick-up when towing my trailer. I removed the driveshaft and lubed the splines and it's been good for many miles. I had a clunk sound when moving from a stop. The OP hasn't said much regarding his experience with all things mechanical so hopefully something said here helps. If the splines aren't lubed on the driveshaft, they can bind and then suddenly release at a stop when there is no torque on them. That could feel like a little bump from the rear.best twin bed floorplan class C'sI sold my 5'er and am looking for a used twin bed Class C under $90K. I like the Winnie and Itasca View/Navion 24V's but I'm a little scared of the M-B reliability and maintenance costs. My German mechanic advised me to stay away from the first DEF V6's, I believe 2008-2010. A lot of van life people seem to like the Transit eco V-6 gassers. The Ekko has the 3.5 V6 eco boost but it doesn't have a slide and the floorplan looks cramped compared to the View. I have rented several V10 gassers and hated them so that's out. I liked the layout of the Fuse 23A but apparently the 3.2L i-5 Powerstroke diesel has problems as well. Ford seemed to dump it when they upgraded the Transit chassis. Any suggestions for these parameters from another manufacturer? I'm kind of wary of Thor and Forest River. My dentist loves his Leisure Travel but that's out of my price range.Re: Sailun 637I'm coming up on two years with my Sailuns. Very satisfied. No issues with the tire itself, just a slow leak around the valve stem due to internal corrosion on the inside of the factory alloy wheel. Word to the wise... I noticed the tire store had replaced the metal valve stem with a rubber one when fixing the slow leak. rubber valve stem is rated for 65psi max metal valve stem is rated for 200psi maxRe: Replacing solid steps with folding stepsThe torklifts are stable if the feet are adjusted properly. Unlike the other folding steps, these don't dump trash into the interior when folded.Re: lighter weight four down toad?rk911 thanks for the TJ Jeep recommendation. I used to own a CJ8 Scrambler and have looked enviously at the Unlimiteds. I think I'll look at some TJ's and see how the prices are running.Re: lighter weight four down toad?deletedRe: lighter weight four down toad?Yes that's exactly what my calculations revealed. The published 11,030 is the figure I found from Lichtsinn RV. A 2022 Honda CRV curb weight is ~3600 lbs. + 90 lbs for 15 gallons gas + ~40 lbs (strictly a guess) for towbar and bracket would give me a gross weight of toad vehicle of 3730. Well under the 4,220 lb. figure. I'm an old pilot so I'm used to figuring weight and balances. Now, back to my original query. I'm looking for a four down toad in a certain size and weight parameter. Any suggestions??Re: lighter weight four down toad?Trailer hitch: 5,000-lb. drawbar/ 500-lb. maximum vertical tongue weight. GCWR: 15,250 lbs. GCVR: 11,030 lbs. Don't have a tow bar. Waiting to see what toad I buy, lighter weight four down toad?I googled looking for a toad to use as a dinghy for a 3500 Sprinter Class C. The recommendations were vehicles like Jeeps, F150 pickups, Chevy Colorado, Equinox. That's heavier than I want. Aren't there some scooters like a Kia Soul or Honda CRV or HRv that'll flat tow? A Honda Fit or BMW Mini are a little too small. The Honda Element seemed to be what I had in mind but they don't make them anymore.
