Racing season starts in 2 weeks but winter is still holding on here in Snow(O)hio!End of the roadWell we have had a great run in the Lance but changes in our camping have us using the TH much more now. The TC has not been out in two years. Had the F350 in for service and a young mechanic at the shop inquired when was I going to get a new truck, told him I already did (IH 4400) and he asked why I was keeping the old pickup. I had not thought about it as I still use the truck form time to time around the farm and then he asked if I would consider selling it. I spit out a price and he said sold! He did not want the Rickson's so I have to deliver the stock wheels and tires to him when we sign the title and exchange the $ next week. I guess I wont get to drive her again since he will be taking her from the service center. The TC is tucked away in my heated shop but now I have nothing to haul it with so I'm guessing it's time is short along with all the other TC equipment. Have really enjoyed being a part of this forum and will remain a active on RV.Net in the TH forum, I'll still be checking up here for all the interesting trip reports though! Good luck to you all!Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???"Can anybody recommend a knowledgeable dealer for TS3?" Looking into using one in a street legal mode as an alternative to the motorcycles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPInlVzAVmYRe: Awesome 6.0-Only MechanicIn central Ohio any ford diesel problems can be solved by competent mechanics at Kreiger Ford in Columbus, Ohio. From your F250 to F700's with Cat, Cummings, or Powerstroke power. Two brothers do all the diesel repairs there and have their own section in the building set up to take care of diesel trucks. I can say from personal experience over the life of two ford diesel pickups since 1999 and over 500,000 miles that they fix it right the 1st time. They even work on my IH with DT466 power. PM me for more info if desired.Re: 3,424 hp & OMG tqLoved the old buzzin dozen tractorRe: Truck ride with big toy haulerRickSo, you beat me to it. I can run 70 uphill all day long and down....I also know the truck will stop the trailer if the trailer brakes fail. 300HP/860FTLBS and a 10 speed with 3 stage engine brake and air brakes. I'm not knocking the new 60-70K pickups; I got my 04 f350 diesel for the small stuff. The IH cost 1/3 the cost of a 450-550 and pulls and stops much better. You won’t know how good a med duty or class 8 is until you travel in one! They are not for everyone, but they are for me!Re: How safe are you when boondockingAlways had guns around and was trained very early in life. I carry a gun and always have...cops are just too heavy.
