Just got done tearing down the carb and gave it a good cleaning, all passages seem open and clear now. Cleaned up most of the varnish in areas that could effect flow of fuel. I'll post how it works if it does when I get a chance to put it back together and try it. Thanks again for your ideas.Onan marquis gold 5500 surgesMy onan that I just got with my used rv is having issues. It's an onan marquis gold 5500 model hijab with the old carburetor. It starts and idles fine, but when you put it under load it just sits and surges. The governor just goes up and down. I figured it had sat for awhile and the carb got varnished up. So I pulled the carb and the throat of it shows issues of varnish. I'm going to clean it with some seafoam and see what happens. But now I'm wondering if the carb is varnished would it start and idle ok? So is my surging issue something else? Trying to get as much info as possible if cleaning doesn't work. Thanks for any and all ideas.Re: Tpo roof sealerThanks. I kind of expected that, I just read so much about people resealing. I'll stick with your advice and the manufacturer. Thanks againTpo roof sealerQuestion do I seal a tpo roof? Contacted KZ manufacturer on sealing rubber roof they told me to contact Alpha systems maker of roof. Alpha systems says this is a tpo roof since its on a 07 and that it looks like orange peel. They say no need to seal just clean twice a year or so. Would love to hear others thoughts. Roof not leaking, just thinking preventive care?Re: Newbie needs help with roofThank you so much for all your good information. I really appreciate all your help.Re: Newbie needs help with roofSorry about not saying, it is a rubber roof. ThanksRe: Newbie needs help with roofThank you all for your help. I'm planning on doing that and then resealing the roof. Any suggestions on the best product for this? Thanks againNewbie needs help with roofMade major mistake, now we will pay the price as I can not dump this off on someone else. Bought our first camper 5th wheel toyhauler (07 KZ). I'll try and keep this short. Purchased in Jan. with rv in storage lot, only a couple of feet on each side. Bad idea could not stand back and get good view of it. While I was inside looking it over and checking for signs of water damage (none that I can see) wife went up on roof and said everything looked good and solid. Fast forward 3 months rv in store age area and hail storm rolls thru, takes out skylight and 4 of 5 vents. I get on roof to cover areas as more weather expected. I immediately notice the whole drivers side of roof is soft from edge about 6" in. Wife did not notice she went to center of roof and said everything was solid. I can not find any sign of water damage on the inside. My question is can I use the Eternabond tape along the whole roof edge to make sure I don't have any leak issues. I know I have problems there but I don't have the money to tear off the roof and fix it. I also can not dump this on someone else like it was done to me. Any suggestions and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
