All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Micro MinnieWe have the 2019 Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108DS which we got last September, and love it. Seven foot width, tows great with our 2018 Ford F-150 using the Andersen "No Sway" Weight Distribution Hitch. First trip out was from Memphis to Helena, MT and back and no issues over the 4,000 plus miles through 8% mountain grades and high cross winds over the flat prairie lands. The Micro Minnie has the dinette slide, Murphy bed, and light interior which makes it feel very spacious. We looked at many and felt the Winnebago had much better quality, fit, and finish than others.Re: Best dog ramp getting out of CLASS A RV? My husband made this for our Basset. We use it with our RV and SUV, and it works great. He bought a long board (whatever length you need) and we used rubber bath mats to cover it with for traction going up and down. A lot cheaper than the purchased ones.Re: How bad is the smoke in Grand Teton/Jackson Hole area? Thanks for the info!!!How bad is the smoke in Grand Teton/Jackson Hole area?We are headed to this area in 10 days. Anyone know how bad the smoke is in the area? I'm assuming the smoke is from the Washington, Idaho, and California fires blowing in. I know Montana has some as well. Are there any fires near the Tetons? I just saw some web cam views and most mountain views are gone. Just wondering if it tough breathing or makes your eyes sting? We may want to alter our plans. Any info appreciated!! Thanks!!Re: Feedback on LTV Unity 24MBWe have a 2012 Regency GT24MB, which LTV/Triple E no longer makes. Ours is on the E-450 Ford chassis, basically has the same interior as the Unity Murphy Bed, and was made at the same factory. We have never had any issues with our Murphy Bed which is manual, not electric, and very easy to put up and down and has no rails. The gentleman who spoke about the dirty rails has a Winnebago Via, not the LTV Unity. We belong to the Dixie Leisure Travelers which is one of the owners clubs for LTV, and many of the members have the Unitys and some with the MB configuration. None to my knowledge have ever had any problems with the Murphy Bed, and they all love their Unitys. LTV is an awesome company, and they stand behind the units they make. We have been to the factory and to the Owner's Rally they have each fall. Wonderful helpful folks that go the extra mile to help you with any problems you might have, and they are very proud of the units they roll off the assembly line. Quality, fit, finish, and attention to the little details are excellent on these units. We have certainly been pleased with our unit that now has about 35,000 miles on it with our longest trip of 55 days being last summer from Memphis,TN to Yellowstone, to the Canadian Rockies, across Canada to the Factory Rally at Winkler, Manitoba and back home with no issues or problems. Great units to tour in, camp in overnight, extended stay camping, or dry camp in. We dry camped at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon two years ago for seven nights using all systems from the generator, furnace, heat pump, air conditioner, etc. and had an awesome stay. Yes, they are wonderful units, and worth the extra bucks!!!Re: I need to build a ramp..My husband made this ramp for Bogie, our 55 pound Basset Hound. He used a 1 x 12 (1 inch thick and 12 inches wide) board he got at Lowes. He covered it with two bath mats(from Wal-Mart with suction cups on back side) that he wrapped around the edges and used screws to hold them on. He put big washers under the screw heads. The bath mats give traction for going up and down. We use it with our Saturn SUV, our Chevy Avalanche, and our RV, also. In the RV we stand it up in the bath with eye screws in the wall and a bungie cord to hold it in place. Works great and isn't heavy. When we have to use leveling blocks at a campsite and the incline is steeper we just grab the traveling/safety harness at the top of his back and help a little. Much cheaper and lighter than those we found for sale. You could cut it to what ever length you need. Re: Pictures of your Class C Re: Looking for SMART car informationThanks so much to all that have responded to my post. We are trying to learn what we can about this unique little SMART car. We got to drive one two weeks ago which really changed our opinion of them. We had laughed at them when we saw them on the road. Boy, were we ever surprised at the roomy interior, the handling on the highway, it's safety features, and how much fun it was to drive. Now we are now thinking about taking the SMART car plunge sometime in the future.Looking for SMART car informationDoes anyone here tow a Smart car? We are interested in any information pros and cons of towing one, and how you like driving one of these little guys on the road. Thanks!!!Michelin tire blow out!!On a recent trip to the Western end of the Florida panhandle, we had a blowout on the right rear inside tire. Luckily it was on a straight section of Interstate Hwy with very wide and flat shoulders and we were able to safely pull off in heavy traffic. Good Sam Road Side Service is a VERY good service. Worth every penny. They got the service truck called for us, and changed out the tire with our spare within 2 hrs from when I called them. They called several times to check to be sure the service truck had arrived, and that we were taken care of. We also ended up getting all 7 tires replaced, installed, and balanced free of charge. Michelin had a recall for the dates of manufacture for my tires. I had checked them when the recall first came out, but didn't continue to followup as time passed. Mine were later added. The tire dealer spotted it when we went to get a new spare. He checked all tires and they were in the recall. He got the tires in for us, and replaced them on our way back home from Florida. We were very lucky in more than one aspect! Very fortunate that it was not a front tire blowout!!
