All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Attitudes at New KC StoreWe were there in July. We were out on the lot for 1 1/2 hours and never once did anyone ask us if we needed assistance. We were seriously looking at two brand new models they had on the lot. Guess what, they lost our business. Heard from another dealership in K.C. that when CW took over the previous dealership basically everyone was fired or quit because of broken promises. When went inside still had NO ONE offer to help. We made a purchase of a part we needed and left.Re: sateliteWe have had Dish for over two years. We put the Dish on a tripod, use the 220? receiver for two T.V.'s. We use home address and have been 1000 miles from home and still picked up our local network channels which is nice for news from home. Use the over the air antenna for network channels in the area we are located. This has worked well for us, but that is just for what it is worth.Satellite Connection IssueJust picked up our 2014 Sprinter Copper Canyon 269FWRLS 5th Wheel. Waited on the dealership since 2/22/14 to figure out a hitch configuration w/the items in the bed of our truck(B&W Hidden Gooseneck)We ended up taking everything out.Hauled 5vr straight back to campground where our tradein had been parked.Have regular Dish Network Satellite and it was operating fine on the trade in. Our new 5vr is Satellite Prep w/RG-6 cable and the connection for the coax from the satellite on the outside(inside docking station)of 5vr. If we connect the coax to the outside(docking station) connection it does not work. If we run coax straight through the front door directly to the unit it works fine. So it is not on our side. Is there some place that a fitting could have came loose, because we also have satellite connection for the coax on the roof in the bedroom. Our receiver is for two televisions. The television in bedroom is working fine off satellite coax splitter provided by Dish. There has to be a fitting some where in/on trailer that was not tightened or has worked loose. Thank you for any help. Also, is there a place that we are supposed to register our new Keystone?Re: Hidden Gooseneck to new 5th wheel problemsWell, we have the 5vr picked up, but not after a lot of disappointment. When we purchased the dealership assured us that we would be able to pick up the 5vr with everything (we explained repeatedly) in the bed of the truck. On 3/12/14 my husband & his employees took out the fuel tank and front tool box. Side boxes had been removed days ago. We have the B&W Companion 3500 which is a great hitch!! Looks like we can either put the front box or fuel tank back in, get under body boxes, and/or fuel tank and narrower front tool box. Right now it does not matter, have to renew Crane certification 3/17 - 3/20. Will not have time to deal with 5vr issues. Have a job site to run and a school to go to at the same time that are about 100 miles from each other. Just wanted to thank those that tried to help. Also, B&W Hitches tech service when you call them are the most professional, knowledgeable and courteous, also in America made by Americans!!!! No metric needed to install or to remove. Now on to the little issues you have when you buy a new 5vr.Re: Hidden Gooseneck to new 5th wheel problemsThe tool box is 48" tall from the bed it sits on. It is 28" tall from bedrails. It is very difficult to see out the rear window, because of the headache rack and the tool box. we have about 13" of window to see out. I wish I knew how to post pictures to this website. I have a couple posted in our profile. Thank you for your input. If any of you are Keystone owners there are 9 pictures posted on the Keystone owners forum.Re: Hidden Gooseneck to new 5th wheel problemsI think putting some measurements on this site will help you all better understand the issues. We only have 12 1/4" from front fuel tank to the B&W Hidden Gooseneck ball center. Front Toolbox is 28" tall sits on/above bed rails. From ball to tailgate is 48". Still looking for suggestions, but at this point we just want to get 5vr picked up. So until someone out there has a suggestion we are taking everything out of bed, and we will just have to put it back in. Thanks for your help.Re: Hidden Gooseneck to new 5th wheel problemsWell I guess I posted an update with wishful thinking... The service tech at the dealer after putting together the companion 3500 B&W says based on the pictures we sent him with a tape measure displaying measurements the B&W 3500 is not going to have enough height to get over the tool box and fuel tank in the front of the bed. So after he told me the only clearance problem was the side tool boxes and we remove them we are back to square one. No way to tow our new 5vr. After removal of the side boxes the front tool box is a must as is the fuel tank. No one out there has a Chevy 3500HD 4x4, 4 door with a fuel tank and toolbox in front? If I knew how to attach the pictures I would. Please help, I am at the point of begging.Hidden Gooseneck to new 5th wheel problemsWe have just purchased a Sprinter 269FWRLS Copper Canyon. Our tow vehicle is a 2011 Chevy 3500HD 4x4 Ext. Cab 8 foot bed. We have a B&W Hidden Turnoverball. The bed of the pickup also has a fuel tank and large tool box at the front and side tool boxes. Our problem is finding a proper (not losing our warranty) or structurally damaging the frame or fiberglass pinbox or adapters/extensions that will allow clearance of all these boxes. The side boxes are flush to the top of the bed. We need to be able to clear the toolbox and fuel tank in front, so something that extends us back from the hitch. Also, something that adapts the ball higher for clearance of the side tool boxes. Please help we have been trying to get our new 5th wheel picked up for 2 weeks. I guess we should have just stuck to travel trailers, but we fell in love with this 5th Wheel and now can not even find anyone who can figure out how we are going to tow. Update, we have decided to go with the B&W Companion 3500 to get clearance of the fuel tank and tool box in front of bed. After HOURS of research and lots of wonderful answers from this forum, we have removed the side boxes and are looking at some under bed/body boxes to replace side boxes. Thank you to you all! Hopefully, God willing after 4 weeks we will be able to pick our new 5vr. Has anybody heard of or used colibert rail rider or Free Ride BW?
