Our first time in the RGV. Thanks to much advice garnered here we tried it from January 20 to March 20. People complained about how cold it had been but we only had about 5 days where the high was about 60. By the last three weeks we were at the pool everyday and I even got in. Found it easy to get around. Lots of restaurants and stores within a mile or two. A great Gonzalez burger and a couple of day trips to Mexico and Arturo’s. Took our time heading home but not enough time. Supposed to be 19 here Friday night. Next year another couple of weeks. P.S. wife even had emergency appendectomy at Edinburgh regional hospital. Have a 3400 Montana RL. Just purchased a F350 to replace my 2500 Silverado. Had a new hitch installed. Top of new hitch is 4-5 inches higher than old hitch as it sits in truck. Means I'm going to have to raise 5th wheel higher to hook up. Landing gear is already 3 inches out. Will I have enough space to run the landing gear 7-9 inches in total (another 4 to 6 inches)? I think I've read in these forums that you can have a problem if you extend the landing gear to far. Is that true? Any advice?2KViews0likes6CommentsRe: Dish Tailgater
I have found that sometimes if it is having trouble finding satellites if I connect it directly to the receiver it works much better. Going through the satellite in connection on the RV seems to diminish the signal. Yesterday there were several stations I could not get or not get in HD but when I changed the connection direct to receiver they were all perfect.431Views0likes0CommentsSplendide combo not drying
We have a Spledide 6100 combo and have been using it without trouble for 11 years. Typically takes at least two hours to dry. Used it for the first time this season yesterday. Ran through two drying cycles and clothes still wet enough to wring water out. Thought I might have rehoused cold and hot water backwards but that wasn't it.
