Houses where we are don't last long for sale, the average time "on market to sold" is a few weeks at most. There is NO affordable housing in my area. I'm not worried at all about it selling....it's dirt cheap.Re: Done! Lwiddis wrote: “after the market completely crashes…” We’ve been through this before and we’ll get through this…together. Yup, got screwed on the last one... it'll never happen again. I'll be the guy in the woods that just wants to be left alone, living off the land and away from the cesspool cities.Re: Done! Should be a non-issue, we bought a "tin box" in a 55+ M/H park when we moved down here to take care of moms. We're not trying to make a killing, but it's worth about 1000 times more than we paid for it now...lol.Done!We've been living full-time in the moho for about 8 weeks now. House went on the market today. Still have a few things to do to it, and after it sells, I have to take a trailer full of our stuff up to Idaho to our friend's house where it will be stored till, we're done traveling, or buy a place, after the market completely crashes....lol.Re: how long can one store a gas engined motorhome? When put to the test none of the "stabilizers" works very well. Aviation 104 has 0 ethanol and last dang near forever. Had it in my dually that was stored for 4 years with this in the tanks. New battery and it fired right up, and never missed a beat. Ethanol is the enemy, if you have to store it for long periods of time....put non ethanol fuel in the tank. It's not as good a Av gas, but it better in the long run.Re: Almost ready to full-time. willald wrote: I'd recommend before that 3,000 mile shakedown, you take the MH and your truck to a big empty parking lot nearby, hitch it up, and turn a few laps around the parking lot. Hit brakes a few times, watch it as you make turns, etc. Make any adjustments needed, then. Once all looks and feels good, drive it on home to test it on the road. This way, you'll have a chance in a more controlled, relaxed setting (parking lot and roads close to home), to iron out any issues with the towing setup. If there is some adjustments, corrections, etc. needed, the time to make them is in a more relaxed setting *BEFORE* you leave on a long trip. This way, when you do leave for that 3,000 mile shakedown trip, you'll already have a lot of confidence that all is working as it should. We did this when we set up our Jeep to flat tow recently. Very glad we did, too, as there were some things that needed initially tweaking with the brake setup. Same system we had in the CR-V, and it weighed more than the truck does....lol, put 30,000 miles on that setup. Thanks for the advice, but if anything is needed I'm sure it will be VERY minor, maybe adjust the "rate" the brake is applied to the toad. We've been towing behind an RV for over 30 years now. Now we're finally retired.Re: Almost ready to full-time.Got the Even Brake system installed, and the wiring finalized today. going on a 3,000 mile shakedown soon.Almost ready to full-time.Been gettin the Ranger ready to be a toad. Got the baseplate on the other day. Had to spend an hour with a sledge straightening out the mounting ears for the bumper on the RF. Tomorrow..........wiring and the brake system. Re: Tailgate support rackRan an "Air Gate" on mine when the camper was off.
