All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Trim those trees.. please!!I take it one step further...we carry an electric weed eater and a push mower and keep the site neatly trimmed before and during our stay. I have had multiple poop pipes cut and a power cord cut in the past. I have in the past pruned hedges in a site or two to get into a site. Recently had a buddy lose both his antenna and an AC cover (which damaged the condenser). Expensive fix, which the RV park shrugged it off... CaleRe: RV Park Reviews ForumI just changed my pw on that site by editing my profile. CaleRe: mini-split a/cI have a buddy with a Cyclone that mounted a couple, one in his garage and one in the main living area. The power draw is much less and they keep it much more comfortable inside, and in the winter too, as they are also heat pumps. I know one condenser is in his front basement, I think the other is mounted in the underbelly. CaleRe: Tuning Leveling JacksIf you have the Level Up system, you can find the manual online... You can manually set it to the level of your liking, then reset the system to your new desired level, this is how future leveling should be. You should also find the small black electronic sensor, mine is in the back, to ensure it is secured and not moving around, if it is shifting, then you could end up with it leveling different every time. CaleRe: Hydraulic LevelersYou should level the system to your liking... I prefer slight nose up and slight right side up...makes water run off the back and also takes into account my heavy slide when out. Once done, follow the directions for the zero point...basically telling the system that is now the position for level. I will say this, auto level is not always the most efficient. I have pushed the button and walked away, only to find it level with tires off the ground. I can go back and manually do it, and it is level at a much shorter stroke of the actuators. CaleRe: For that have added a second AC yourself.I have installed a second AC as others have...what you've been told is good to go... I will add another thought...put startup capacitors on the both units... Doing this will lower the amperage at startup and you should be able to run both AC units on 30 amp connections. You must have the water heater and fridge on propane, and not use the microwave... CaleRe: Using foam in a can to fill gapsI have used the low expansion roam around my windows. I remove the inside frame, fill the gap all the way around, then put the frame back up...I have done this as I have found the seal used between the window and trailer are inadequate. I have also used it to block the AC duct at the back of the trailer, as it doesn't terminate. Do yourself a favor, go with Curt or B&W for the pucks...the Reese that Ford sells is ridiculously overpriced (and made in China). Cale Curt is also Made in China! In FACT all Curt 5er hitches are Chinese Made. That may be true today...I know when I bought mine, I bought it on the premise that it was made in the USA. Their web site touted it...give me a few days to let the snow melt out of the bed, I will see what is stamped on the hitch itself. I honestly don't know, but with it being a single piece welded frame, the bed may need to be raised. Go over to The Diesel Stop, very knowledgable folks, and there are Ford Techs/Customer Service Reps on that forum. There are some threads regarding this on the earlier models. Purely looking at the weights you would be pulling, going with the B&W turnover system would be a better bang for your buck, with probably less hassle. I chose a Curt product, as my pin weight is 3800 lbs and the trailer gross is 21k. When I was shopping, the B&W was only 20k lbs...could be different now.
