A pain to reach, but all good now.AF 992-no 12v in slideout-furnace/fridge/lightI’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. I’ve lost all 12v power in my slide out room. The slide itself works, but the fridge, furnace, and overhead light are all dead. All other 12v systems seem to work fine. All the fuses are good. Sounds to me like a grounding issue. Does anyone know if these items share a common ground within the slide? If not is there a bus bar somewhere that I can check?Re: New truck (to me) 2015 F450- StableLoads - Before and afterAnybody use 1" lift blocks on their F-450? I've got just the upper stable loads now and my '15 rides and handles great with the camper and boat, but I'd like to raise the back end up a little. Not sure I want to spend the money on air bags, although they'd be nice for leveling the camper on overnighters.Re: "Temporary" Wired Backup Camera Addition (Ford)Just bought the same cam for my fox. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.Re: Outfitting a new truckI just put an AF 992 on a 2015 F-450 pickup. With full tanks it scales just under 14k. The rear suspension sagged about 3". I added the upper stableloads and this reduced the sag to under 2". I can't tell the difference on the empty ride. Loaded it maybe feels a little more stable. Once I hook up my trailer I'm back down to 3" of sag. I think I'll try a like this for a bit while I ponder air bags.Re: Arctic fox 6/7pin cordI'm headed to the local trailer store today to see what's available. Even though I shouldn't ever need to charge the camper via the truck, I'm going to shoot for the largest wires available. I've decided against a simple plug and play extension cord... Soldering isn't that hard, so no reason to have the extra plug and socket to get hung up on the truck bed side while unloading the camper. The reason for not adding another bed receptacle is that it's a new truck and I'm lazy.Arctic fox 6/7pin cordThis 3' cord was included with my arctic fox. It is about 5' too short. Anyone know where I can buy a longer one. My truck already has the factory receptacle in the bed and I have no interest in relocating it. If I can't find a longer cord I might just solder in the extra 5' or buy an extension cord from torklift. Re: Advice on Tie Downs for F450 and 5K TCEtrailer just lowered their prices on torklift stuff. I paid 357 for fast guns and locks with free shipping.Re: Differences between Ford SD F350 and F450?Actually the '15 F-450 is a better hauler than an F-350 DRW. It has bigger brakes, 19.5s, bigger rear axle, bigger sway bars, and steering upgrades. Just because the sticker on the door says it can carry less doesn't make it a less capable tool. The '15 F-450 has a 14k GVWR, but it is almost the same truck as the 08-10s and they were 14.5. Wouldn't surprise me if the '16s are 14.5k or more. I believe the only reason the '15 is 14k is to keep it a class 3 truck for registration and insurance purposes, not unlike the 9900 GVWR SRW F-350. Also the wide track front axle and 4.30 gears are now available on the F-350 with the high capacity towing package. (Basically like the 11-14 F-450s) Most truck campers exceed their GVWR anyway. Looking at the printed payload isn't necessarily the best meter.Re: Stable Load by Tork Lift420,000 miles!? Surely you added a zero or two.
