I do quite a bit of sewing so I feel I could make myown as you did. My questions are where did you measure, where did you get the material and the magnets? In looking at your photos your shades look as good as the high price spread for sure.Lubing automatic landing gearI have automatic landing gear levelers, not sure of the brand though. With my 5th wheel I would lube the landing gear on the front and the stabilizing levelers in the rear. However, with these auto levelers on my motor home I'm not sure exactly how to go about it or even if I should. If they should be lubricated which product would you recommend and how often should they be lubed? Thanks for the help.Re: thumping of slide awning in high gusty windNo the topper over the slide just covers the slide. With all the suggestions that you good folks have given my plan, at the moment, is to have the tension checked when I go in to have the annual systems check. Want to thank everyone for all the good ideas and thoughts.Re: thumping of slide awning in high gusty windIt is a slide topper. As for the make I don't know and my motor home is currently in storage so can't even run out and look. I suppose it makes a huge difference? Just my luck.Re: thumping of slide awning in high gusty windHow are these awning locks installed? Does it require using power tools? Like some folks I'm power tool challenged. Thanks for the quick response.thumping of slide awning in high gusty windDuring a trip back from New Mexico we ran into some really strong gusty winds. As we were driving along we could hear this thumping sound along the side of the coach. After going through a list of "...it could be..." we decided it was the wind catching the awning. Now with all that said how do we stop the awning from potentially blowing off? Or coming unrolled while moving down the freeway? Any suggestions or thoughts will be truly appreciated.Re: Trac Bar for Ford F53 chassisWhat exactly is a "steer safe"? Who makes? What is it's primary function? Thanks.Re: Fleetwood Terra LXDevoredude, Congrats on a great weekend. It is so wonderful for all folks involved to have had a great outdoor camping experience. Even though you have minor things to be fixed that's all part of the experience. Go TERRAs!!!Re: Fleetwood Terra LXDevoredude, FINALLY someone who does not look down their nose at the Terra. I find mine quite comfortable; we've put nearly 5k miles on it since we bought it in August. It has done an amazing job and does not appear like or feel like a travel trailer. The basement storage compartments are more than adequate and the underneath is completely enclosed. I agree whole completely not everyone can afford a $100,000+ motor home. Nor does everyone need a rig of that caliber. Again Thanks Devoredue and have a wonderful trip with all your toys. Would like to hear how your coach handled.Fleetwood Terra LXI notice on here there are a bunch of Bounder Owners as well as other Fleetwood models. However, there are few, if any, Terra folks. Is the Terra a fluk? Is it the "bastard" child? Or is there some other reason it is conspicuously missing?
