I don't have a ton of electronic stuff in mine, the fridge, 12 volt TV, DVD player, water pump, and the converter......Re: Electrical management systemOk, so are the EMS systems basically like a UPS (uninterruptible power source) system for computers? Basically the incoming power charges and battery and passes through the extra, and in the event the power dips the EMS system uses battery to make up the difference?Re: Hot water heater... Drain after every trip?Sound guy - yup the threads on the plug will deteriorate for sure :) I bought a box of them in gross and put them in my cabinet lol. I thought you meant the threads of the tank. I also have an extra hot water heater pressure relief valve in the tool bag as well :) I haven't used the fresh water tank yet, just city water, so I haven't had to use the water pump yet.Re: Hot water heater... Drain after every trip? Thanks for the tips and advice everyone!!!Re: Hot water heater... Drain after every trip?Sound guy, The threads on mine are aluminum and the plug is nylon, so there is very little chance of damaging the threads.... Also, what do you mean by pressureizing the system? All I've done so far is hook up the city water, then open the faucets, and then turn on the water and let it run. I get a couple bursts of air, then steady water flow. Is there something else Imshould be doing? Bionic man, thanks for the tip, that is definitely a better way than popping the water heater plug... It's located right near the electric and cable and so forth, so I'd rather avoid dumping a ton of water over those connections if I can avoid it. So how long would be too long to let the water sit in the tank? We are going to try to go camping at least once a month and sometimes twice a month... If it sits for two or three weeks will that cause a problem or get stale?Re: RV mattress reccomendationsThanks for the help everyone! I actually went to Sleepys and got a nice deal on a Simmons Beautyrest. We have a sleepnumber in our house, but being primarily weekend warriors it didn't make much sense to spend $2000 on a queen sleepnumber... Thanks for all the help!RV mattress reccomendationsHi all, So my wife and I decided the queen mattress in out evergreen has to go. We have slept on it two weekends now, and they have been long and uncomfortable nights on a hard mattress. Do you guys have any recommendations? We can get either a full queen or short queen, our bed platform is 75" but there is 5" of room between the end of the platform and the entertainment center. There is a full queen in there now. Drain after every trip?Hi all, So we just completed out second weekend to shake out our new Evergreen. So far everything has been good save a few minor things. I have been draining all the water as we have still been seeing a few cold nights here and there, but I was wondering about the hot water heater? I have been letting it cool then opening the drain plug, which is effective but seems like a stupid way to do it since water gets everywhere. It seems most things are easy and don't make a huge mess, so pulling the drain plug seems out of place. Is there a better way to do it? Does it need to be drained after every trip? I have a 6 gallon Atwood. Thanks! GregRe: Evergreen EverLite vs. Coachmen APEX helpI am pretty sure the evergreens are made of rot resistant materials as well.......Re: Evergreen EverLite vs. Coachmen APEX helpthank you guys!
