I will be pulling it with a Ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.7 Hemi. The only downside is the rear end ratio of 3.21.

It must be obvious to all that I did not anticipate towing a TT when I acquired my RAM earlier this year. Looks like I will need to drop way down in TT weight or consider another tow vehicle. Thanks to all for the most excellent education.

Based on the advise of the group on this web site, I am looking at a Heartland North Trail NT 23RBS. GVWR - 6,900 Dry Wt. - 5,310 Hitch Wt. - 625 My Ram payload - 1,520 max trailer wt. - 8,010 GVWR - 6,900 GAWR - Front - 3,900 - Rear - 3,900 Sounds like I should be ok with this unit, right? Also, what do I need in the way of additional hitch equipment?

The listed payload on my Ram is 1,520 lbs. It sounds like I need to stay in the Gross Maximum Trailer Weight of 6,500 lbs. or less for my Ram. And a tongue weight of 500 or less. Does that make sense?
