I had a similar squeak on a previous RV. It droves us crazy and like yours it would start when driving at a slow speed and eventualy stop after things got warmed up. I swore it had to be in the suspension/drive works of the rig but it was not. After sitting overnight or even when we were stopped at a restaurant if it was cool outside, the tires develop a flat spot where it meets the ground. As you start driving it starts a bit of shaking in the motorhome. As the tire warms a bit from driving it warms and the flexing of the tire limbers up the tire and the flat spot goes away and so does the minor tremors traveling through the coach. One morning we headed out on another trip and that damned squeak started up. For some reason a thought occurred to me. We were still near home and on a slow speed road,right in the "squeak zone". I ask my wife to go to the entry door and open it up. Upon opening the door the squeak stopped instantly. It turned out the slight tremor caused by the stiff tire flat spots was causing the door to move ever so slightly in its' opening and the aluminum of the door was rubbing against the aluminum of the door frame, causing the squeak. To the OP....Just find a nice Sprinter mounted C or B+ and go for it. I spent many years before I retired, towing a 40 foot fifth wheel all around the West chasing my job. My wife and I lived in it full time. After retirement we wanted to travel about for us, at the pace we wanted. We made one extended trip with the big FW and right away we knew there was a change in our future. While we were very good at setting up and getting road ready, it was just a lot of work to move every day or two or three. We bought a small C,(before Sprinters) and never looked back. It was like being set free. We also learned that we had far, far too much stuff with us. I had tools and parts and supplies to almost rebuild the damned 5th wheel. Not necessary. There's a Home Depot on every corner and a Walmart next door. With your cellphone Amazon will put a part at your site in two days. The first C you buy won't be your last so don't over-think it. After you travel in one for a while you will get to know what fits your style and will likely trade that first one off and get "the" one. Thanks for that Bob. Thats interesting. Definitely worth a look. Now that you mention the reinforcement used at the TV location, there is a magazine rack mounted where the TV bracket would be, had it been factory installed. I looked in the compartment you mentioned for a removable panel with no luck. It's the cabinet on the right in this picture, correct? OK, thanks midnight. I will try to get that panel off to look for the wires that will connect to the antenna booster. Thanks for getting back to me on this. If I understand you correctly, looking forward from the dinette, I open the overhead cabinet on the right side and the wires should be behind the inner, left side panel of that cabinet that is over the passenger seat?? I see in the brochures of the newer units, they put a TV swing mount on the back side of the fridge wall facing the bed and it will swing 180* so it can be viewed from the dinette area. I am going to try to find that bracket. On the TV topic, ours has the big skylight over the dinette table. My wife and I found a nice 2009 Serenity for sale that was in great shape so we bought it. The previous owner did not get a TV in it. We want a TV and the owners manual and brochure say all Serenities come "TV ready". I'm hoping someone here knows where the wires are hidden. There are none visible in any of the cupboards. I see a connection on the outside for TV cable. I will be installing an antenna on the roof and I am hoping that the term "TV ready" includes wiring already routed in the ceiling.
