The reason I am asking is that if I disconnect the battery the generator shuts off. My Kohler Generator only needs the battery to start and will run fine without it. Also is there a procedure to check / adjust the choke? My choke has a wire to it so I assume it is electric and it also has a manual lever you can move. It never moves on its own it is always about 1/4 on.Re: 50 amp 90 degree connector where to buy Veebyes wrote: M50A-F50A 90° Locking Ring Adapter (1 Review) Add A Review Well, less than 10 minutes looking & what do I find!!! I just wish someone made the 90 degree replacement connector I am looking for so I can bypass the adapter. ThanksRe: 50 amp 90 degree connector where to buy Allworth wrote: Sorry, I didn't consider that an adapter. To me an adapter has differently configured plugs on the two ends. A connector has the same configuration (one male; one female)on the ends. It is listed as an adapter on amazon and everywhere I have found it. A Connector is one end that you can install on your existing cable. and adapter has 2 connectors on it. Thanks for trying anyway.Re: 50 amp 90 degree connector where to buy Allworth wrote: Quick Google search www.makariosrv.com Item # 1RPC50RV $74.88 + S/H Correct. These adapters are available everywhere, as stated several times in this post I am looking for the connector not the adapter but thanks for the input anyway.Re: 50 amp 90 degree connector where to buy rhagfo wrote: waterfowlhunter wrote: Ed_Gee wrote: stubborn is one thing ... but ... has anyone actually CALLED CAMCO and asked about this? From the original poster's picture, it is obvious that CAMCO provided the original part. Yes, they say that it is not listed in their catalog Sounds like the adapter is the only way to go.:( Thanks for all the input. Really disappointing but I have a big RV dealer I plan to stop by on Tuesday and see if they can point me to one. If not Amazon will be shipping me the adapter.Re: 50 amp 90 degree connector where to buy Ed_Gee wrote: stubborn is one thing ... but ... has anyone actually CALLED CAMCO and asked about this? It is one of those things where I know it is possible but just can not find the source and it bothers me. I have been looking into this for about 6 months and have nothing. I was even considering selling my current cord and buying the one with a 90 on it but that defeats my stubborn personality and I will not allow that to happen.Re: 50 amp 90 degree connector where to buy klassic wrote: I know you don't want to, but wouldn't it be easier and cheaper if you bought an 18" right angle twist lock to locking straight male and put a locking straight female on your cord. It would always be attach as one unit. Just a thought It might be easier to some as mentioned several times but if I can do it the way I want to It would actually be "easier". I have to replace the end anyway so replacing it with a 90 degree end is easier than replacing it with a straight end then adding on the 90 degree adapter to me anyway. But if I can not find the 90 connector I will be adding the adapter to my amazon cart.Re: 50 amp 90 degree connector where to buyThis is becoming an obsession. LOL I know it is easier to use the adapter but I DON'T WANT TO as my 4yo grand daughter would say. Thanks for all the suggestions so far.Re: 50 amp 90 degree connector where to buy Timay wrote: I believe that is a 50 amp 90º female twist-lok cord cap - should be able to find it at Graingers, if one is in your area. If not, try an electrical supply house - they are generally wholesale only, but they will be able to send you to the proper place. Don't think those were made specifically for a 5th wheel - we electricians use them for many other things. You might stop in at a local electrical contractor and explain what you are looking for. They will go straight to the NEMA Twist lock chart and find it from there. Tim I tried Grainger, they carry the Hubble brand and want over $300 for the straight connector and that is with my electrical company discount. Then they got an attitude with me when I told them the straight ones at Amazon are under $40 at times. They also refused to even try to research a 90 degree one for me. They lost most of our business due to their attitude with me on this. I have also checked several marine suppliers and have found some 90 degree connectors that fit but only are 3 wire and do not have the outer ground connection only the 3 blade connections.
