The solution was to use city (campground) water flow and pressure to force the trapped air through the running pump.Re: water pump not pumping waterIt may be air locked. Try turning on the pump while connected to city water.Re: We know we want small, but how small?Handbasket gave you some good advice. I fell in love with the first Sprinter based motorhome we saw but while waiting for new models to evolve we bought a 2 year old Road trek 200. On several occasions after parking on a city street we observed that we would not be able to park there if 2 feet longer. After 6 years and 90,000 miles we bought a 5 foot longer Sprinter based Winnebago Via. We like most things about it but sometimes miss the ease of driving and parking a 20 ft class B.GizmosMom --) Class B RalliesI didn't want to hijack a thread that has already veered off course, but just wanted to point out that Marilyn (GizmosMom) started the ball rolling for Class B rallies. Leisure Travel and others were having their big name brand rallies and Marilyn lamented that she could not attend a brand name rally because her B was an orphan as was my American Cruiser. She suggested a rally to include all Class B's. I seconded the motion and some people with more computer skills took it from there. So would someone consult with Marilyn and Joe about a date or location that would fit into their schedule for a future rally so they can appreciate what they started?Re: Diesel vs gas......................I just saw this thread on "Active" and hope someone can answer the following question: Does a stock diesel provide adequate engine braking without exceeding recommended RPM limit? After paying a premium price for a diesel I don't want to have to add aftermarket equipment to compensate for any deficiencies. The ads for Banks and other systems indicate that adding an exhaust brake is necessary for safety. Some other ads indicate that the transmission (Allison and Mercedes) provides the braking, but a description of the process indicates that dropping one gear may have little effect (much less than with a gasoline engine). This question is related to a one ton van with a Class B camping conversion approximate weight 8,000 pounds.
