All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsAlaska Kenai SPWe would like to return to Alaska this summer and focus on the Kenai. We are thinking of camp hosting at a state park. There are several open on the Kenai. We are not familiar with the area so we would be picking a spot "blind". Anyone have recommendations for a park or area? Thanks PaulRe: Kwikee DoorstepI good welder could build up those gears by TIG welding and grind them back down. Take it to a machine shop. If it can't be fixed, I just bought a used unit from Colaw Salvage in Missouri, measure the base and they can tell you what you need.Re: I can't figure out a beeping noiseI have a similar beep on my '04 Tradition, I happened to catch it once and it coincided with the low air light. Air pressure is fine and it happens sporadically.Re: Pack RatsThanks Bobman for the excellent instructions on the preparation of "dispatched" Pack Rat. I could use it in a stew and tell everyone it was squirrel!Pack RatsWe are planning to volunteer this summer in Libby, MT. The ranger advised they can have a problem with pack rats. We spent last summer in Idaho and caught 27 mice over the summer. Anyone had successful experience keeping pack rats out of your coach? I am thinking of putting an LED strobe in the engine compartment. ThanksHosting/working AlaskaWe would like to return to Alaska this summer(2015), and would like to host or work to help cover costs. Anyone have any leads? We are most interested in the Kenia.Re: State parks on gulfI am currently hosting at Big Lagoon SP in Pensacola. It is on the intra-coastal across from National Seashore Park. It is very near the Naval Aviation Museum which is free and well worth an all day trip.Re: Myrtle Beach ReccomendationsWe go to the area at least 3 times a year and always go to Huntington Beach SP. It is just below Murrels Inlet, water/elec. It is less hectic than Myrtle Beach SP. Dunes between the CG and beach, 1 mile of undeveloped beach. Across US 17 is Brook Green Gardens, worth the trip itself. May be hard to get a reservation this late but worth a try.Re: Cost of fixing fogged windowsI had several done earlier this year by the RVFogDR in Searcy, Arkansas. They were $200 per window removed and reinstalled. You could also take yours out and send to them. I was very satisfied with the work.HD SatelitteI am planning to replace the KVH dome in my '04 AC Tradition with the Traveler HD Satellite(Directv). The wiring from the entertainment ctr is coax. Will I need to run HDMI cable for the HD? If I use wireless HDMI can I run it through the selector(smart source) to get different signals to rear TV? Thanks Paul Nordan
