Hi there. I tow a 26 foot camper that weighs 4300pounds with a 06 Toyota 4 runner. It has the v6 and I added external tranny cooler. It towers like a dream. There is plenty of power. I do use a weight distribution hitch. I know somebody will read this and say I'm nuts for towing this camper with a v6 4Runner but honestly is handles it great. I took it to Colorado and up to about 8500 foot altitude campground with out any problems. You should be just fine314Views0likes0CommentsRv antifreeze
I winterized with super tech rv and marine intifreeze in early oct. And today went out to camper just to check on it and noticed the little bit of antifreeze that was left in the toilet like instructions told me to do is partially frozen. It was a fairly solid shush. I thought this stuff didn't freeze. I'm confused and worried if it is starting to slush up then what is in doing in the water lines, faucets, and pump where I can't see. I am trying to figure out if I should winterized myself or take it to the rv dealer. I bought my camper new this year and just don't want to mess it up but it doesn't seem like it should be that difficult to do. I am very handy and do all kinds of home repairs for myself and others but for some reason this has me stumped. Does anyone here tow with a toyota 4runner. I bought a 06 4runner today and it has the factory towing hitch and electrical plug. My question is how much is that hitch rated for? It is the 2" receiver but it is a small unit that just bolts to the crossmember rather than going out to the frame rails. I can't find a weight rating anywhere on it. It is the 2 wheel drive with a 4.0 v6. I know the SUV is rated at 5000 pounds but unsure of hitch specs.1.3KViews0likes6Comments
