Looking forward to it!Re: nascar at Watkins GlenWe will be staying in the reserved lot in August as well. This will be my first road course experience. I'm looking forward to it. Maybe we'll see you there.Re: 2014 Jeep Cherokee QuestionAfter step 12 let it idle down. If you rev the engine when in reverse, it may take a while to idle down. I have ran into the same issue and that is what I had to do to avoid grinding. If I don't rev the engine while in reverse(checking for movement), then I never get any grinding. The cherokee tows really well and has been a great vehicle. I hope you get your issues resolved.Re: 2014 Jeep Cherokee QuestionJust follow the instructions in the manual. You may have to wait for the idle to lower rpms after placing back in neutral from reverse. After the rpms lower, you won't get any grinding. The instructions work as written. You shut the engine off by pressing the start push button with your foot on the brake, same as normal. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to be smart, but there really are no "tricks".Re: How young were you when you bought your first DP?Traded our 5th wheel and sold my truck to get ours earlier this year. I was 34. It's a long time till retirement, so this probably won't be our last.Re: Conflicting requirements for towing 2014 Jeep CherokeeI'm towing a 2014 cherokee trailhawk. I hook up and then place system in neutral. The gear selector remains in park according to the manual. Jeep has done their homework for towables. The active drive ii is the only one capable for flat towing in the cherokee.Re: 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Dingy tow?My 2014 jeep cherokee trailhawk does not have a steering wheel lock. Just hook up,put in neutral and go.Re: Finally 2014 Cherokee base plate installI also installed blue ox base plates on my 2014 trailhawk. There were no holes to be drilled. Only a tab on the bottom of the bumper bracket had to be trimmed.2013 vs 2014Looking at changing from a 5th wheel to a diesel pusher. Looking at a discovery with bunks. I'm curious what other owners would advise, buy new 2014 for a good price I feel, or buy a 2013 with 12k miles and about $40k less money. Both units similarly equipped.Williamsburg, VAI'm looking for recommendations for campgrounds in the area. We hope to visit all the historic places along with Busch gardens. We have kids so some fun amenities within the campground would be nice. I can read reviews online, but advice from this forum would be appreciated.
