I'll get the brand/model when I go to the trailer. This at least tells me it's something we should be able to handle. Never would have thought about the illuminated face. These old eyes will appreciate it.Re: Replacement thermostatThanks so much for the quick responses and the links. I'll get the brand/model when I go to the trailer. I know I've seen recommendations in the past but can't find them now. If this is a mod you've done I'd like to hear about how it is as a diy project. Thanks !Re: Overnight in AlabamaCheck out Yellowhammer RV I65 south exit 208 in Clanton. Located 1/2 way between Bham and Montgomery. Literally next to the interstate for easy on/easy off. Loves truck stop for fuel and restaurants there as well. Very safe area. Highly recommend for an overnight stop. It is a dealership also, so if service or supplies are needed there are people on site to help..I'm not affiliated with this business but I live in the area. Can't go wrong stopping here.Rose paradeAnybody going or have experience with attending the Rose Parade/ Bowl game. We're planning to fly in leaving the RV at home.. where to fly into, best places to stay, how to get the best viewing tickets/spots, float tours? Anything else a tourist needs to know. Bucket list Trip will be Jan 2019. Thanks. At a lossI'm trying to remember the term used for boaters who travel south for the winter... basically the boat/yacht equivalent of snowbirds...Anybody?? Google is no help when you don't know what you're asking for..Re: Multiple Tow VehiclesTerryallen - thanks for the feedback.. the current hitch doesn't use chains.Multiple Tow VehiclesI looked to see if this question had been asked/answered before and couldn't find anything so here goes. Currently we tow a 6000 GVWR 24' trailer with a perfectly set up F-150 using a Husky weight distribution hitch and integrated sway control. Have used this setup without change for 2 years. Just bought a Ford Expedition with heavy duty tow package also with a 5.4 liter V8 engine. We want to occasionally use this vehicle to tow the same trailer. As a test we towed the existing trailer hitch and setup with the Expedition about 45 miles to a nearby campground and the trip was not nearly as stable and smooth as with the F-150. The front of the Expedition was higher than the rear so I know the setup needs an adjustment for this vehicle - I just don't know what I need. Would I use the existing hitch and adjust it for each vehicle each time I use it - not my favorite solution? What do I need to do to easily go from one tow vehicle to the other with the least amount of change to the setups between vehicles? I'm not opposed to purchasing different hitches for each of the vehicles so they are paired but I'm not sure how that would even work. Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks!Re: Extended Run Generator setupthanks Sunnyside... we are looking at the kits that you mentioned rather than trying to set something up ourselves... thanks to everyone for your responses!!
