Based on a few responses it sounds like a poor choice for an RV that comes with the Schwintek.Re: Problems with Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out azdryheat wrote: Are you hooked up to shore power? That sounds like will fix my problemProblems with Schwintek In-Wall Slide-OutI bought a 2017 Wildwood RV (Forest River) earlier this year. Slide-out was working fine for a few camping trips. This is the first time I have own a travel trailer with the Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out When I start the slide-out I hear the motors starting and both sides start evenly. At about 5-10 inches out on one side motors stop and then the slide goes out uneven. I do of course stop at that point and slide back in. If I go back and forth for a few times it works to slide out the slide-out. The same issue when I slide the slide-out back in. Both sides start and then one side stops Any idea how to troubleshoot the issue?Re: Travel trailer built using aluminum frameI posted here to educate myself. I appreciate all the good info. Thank you!Re: Travel trailer built using aluminum frameI have been researching the Rockwood line up from Forest River and I'm pretty sure I will get something better than a Zinger. Something that would have been leaking since day one is not an RV that WILL leak one day. That is an RV that is already leaking water the day it came out the door. Yes I fully understand that maintenance is key but there is a difference between buying a Hyundai and Audi. As the saying goes you get what you pay forRe: Travel trailer built using aluminum frameI bought a used 2012 Zinger from Crossroads 3 years ago. That was the first mistake. Never again will I buy a used trailer. I did not have any experience buying an RV and it is my second one. The first one was too small but a pretty good trailer which served me well for a few years. The Zinger, on the other hand, I could say that it is junk. I fixed the water leak in the front but this last weekend I decided that I would take off the corner moldings in the back to reseal/redo them. Both corners are rotten badly including the floor. I'm sure this RV has been leaking water since the day it came of the assembly lineRe: Travel trailer built using aluminum frameI'm very handy for repairs and all things related to hands-on mechanical. I used to work as an industrial welder and maintenance in a factory so I can do everything. The reason I'm looking for an aluminum frame and better quality trailer is that the one I have not had a major water leak. I fixed it including replacing part of the floor that was rottenTravel trailer built using aluminum frameI'm in the process of buying to a new Travel Trailer. I want to go for a higher end trailer with aluminum framing and have looked at the Forest River Rockwood line up. What over make and brand are built with aluminum framing?Gastek for slide outI have a Zinger Crossroad RV travel trailer. I need to replace the gasket around the slide out. Is there any better alternative for gaskets than the standard OEM one?
