Angels Mama07, I admire your ambition on this project. I had a class C Motorhome that was only 2 years old and the bunk looked almost as bad as yours!! While the paneling is off, you can watch where the water is comming in. I would pull the front clearance lights off and replace them. The window up front and the side ones should also be removed and new butyle tape put under them. Clean the area good before replacing them and never use silicone caulk. These are the biggest problem areas, even in newer units. Next big problem areas are from the roof line where the rubber roof meets the metal, and along the top and sides over the front and under the cab. That trim piece can leak also, take a few screws loose and if they are rusty, it has been leaking. If you have to, run a hose or pressure washer on the outside to find the leaks. If you can keep it covered while you are working on it, it may be benafical to you. Good luck and I hope your back side is O K. rider1520, What dealer did you go with, we looked at several Winnes and weren't too impressed with the dealers at all. Long story short, bought a Jayco (C)at Hershey 2 years ago (Greyhawk) and traded it for a Coachman A, a month ago for a floor plan we looked a long time for. Our dealer is in Cogan Station PA., outside of Williamsport. The Jayco dealer in southeast PA didn't impress us at all. Water marks can and cannot tell the whole story. If the ceiling has any crown to it water will run to the side and you will not know about it until it exits in wall or floor. Also the way it is parked has a lot to do with it, if it is level or not. I had one that was only a year old and didn't have any water marks at all but leaked real bad. I replaced all the roof caulking with new after removing the old,and still had water problems. I then started to remove windows and reseal. I finally just got rid of it. When I was troubleshooting my lock problem, I got the wires on the door contact reversed and that fuse by the battery blew!!!!!!! If I had taken the jamb side off, I would of seen the colors, red and black both sides. So then I had to troubleshoot the 12v supply. I believe it was one of the reverse polarity fuses. Wijames, Too bad you are in Fl, I have a frame mounted carrier that I removed from my previous MH. I am looking to sell. It is about 60 some inches long and about 14 inches wide, framed with 1 1/4" angle iron and has mesh bottom. It mounted between the frame extensions over the square bumper. It did not interfere with the receiver hitch at all. One end has an angle going up for the front wheel to rest against. The total weight is probably around 50-60#.It was on the motor home when we bought it and I had no use for it so removed it. Not sure of the numbers on it, just from memory, it is snowed in in the shed now. I hate this weather!!!!!!!!!!111Views0likes0Commentsdeleting names from contact list
