Several days ago the electrical appliances would shut off and immediately come back on. The air conditioner fan simultaneousy lose rpm. Today When I arrived at my TT the air conditioner will no longer turn on. The microwave is very slow to start and the lights in the TT seem to be dimmer than usual. All of the 12v outlet plugs seem to function. My initial thought was the converter. But does the converter power the air conditioner? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!Home Dish Network while on the road.I am a new subscriber to Dish Network. My question is: Can I take my Dish Network Genie box and install it in my travel trailer and it work away from my home? What type of dish do I need? Looking at maybe a regular dish that mounts on a tripod. I wont mind the setup. Just trying to keep costs down. I would only install it in my rig maybe twice a year when we take our longest trips. Being that I would only use it one or twice a year in the rig, I dont want to by a second box or purchase a second satellite service plan. Also at home the box is capable of internet service. Will this be the same on the road. Does the dish need to have certain features to run both tv and internet. As a new satellite customer I know little about the equipment and what dishes are compatible with my Genie box. Any help is appreciated.Re: Grand Design Imagine 2950rlMy profile has not been updated but I have purchased a new truck. 2015 F150 Supercrew, 4x4, 3.5 ecoboost, 3:55, max payload package. I also will be using the Equalizer 4 point weight distribution system. I have posted the weights and maximums for my tow vehicle and new trailer. Opinions?Re: Grand Design Imagine 2950rlThanks for the reply. I am looking for double slides in the rear to maximize space. Have not totally ruled out the white hawk but really would like more livng space.Grand Design Imagine 2950rlI am in the market for a new tt. I currently have a Jayco Jay Feather 242. I am very happy with Jaycos product. I have had vitually no problems with the unit in the 6 years I have owned it. I am looking for a larger unit now. A couples unit that is half ton towable. Although I like jaycos product they do not seem to have a couple unit, rl or re, in the half ton towable segment. I have been looking for a new unit for 2 years and believe I have finally found a unit we would he happy with. The Grand Design Imagine 2950rl fits all my needs, weighs less than 7000lbs and appears to be well designed and built. The only thing that makes me a little nervous is the age of the Grand Design Company. They have only been in business for around 4 years. Being a young company it is virtually impossible to find reviews on their products. Does anyone have any experience with their products or customer service? Any input is appreciated.Fair price for tt?I am looking at a new travel trailer. I am being kinda picky with what I want. After owning my first travel trailer for 7 years, I have became way more knowledgeable in what my needs and wants for a new trailer are.I have narrowed my search down to a couple of units. I went and looked at a new 2016 Flagstaff V Lite 30Wrliks. I really like the quality and finished product of this trailer. I told the sales manager I am not in a rush to buy. I let him know that a better deal later is worth more to me than paying more today. Myself and the salesman spoke briefly and I asked him to give me his best price. Of course he left and went to talk to the sales manager and came back with a price. He told me the msrp is $42,592. The best he could do is $30,995. I asked him if this was the best he could do. He said yes. I said if I was still interested I would be back in contact, or if he could do better to please give me a call. I left the dealership. I feel like I did not get a fair price on my first travel trailer. With that said I must not have worked hard enough for it. Fair to say? When you are new to RV'ing I know the sales department could see me walking in from a mile away. What do think about the trailer im currently looking at. Is their price fair or can I do better? http://www.daviscampersalesinc.com/specifications.asp?StockNos=0088Forest River Vibe 311rls. Any comments?I am currently looking at purchasing a Forest River Vibe 311rls. Because the Vibe line is only a couple years into production im finding it hard to find reviews. Anyone have any comments or reviews of the Vibe line of travel trailers? https://www.couchsrvnation.com/forest-river/travel-trailer/v-cross-vibe/311rls6 Also, I noticed this unit has a Whirlpool refrigerator that only runs off of shore power or 12v battery, not LP. I do dry camp several weeks a year and do have generators to charge the batteries. Does anyone know how long 2 batteries would run a refrigerator before they would need to be charged? I know there are alot of variables but would like an estimated time, 1hr,1 day ect... I would not be opposed to install a couple solar panels to charge the 12v system. Thanks for the comments!Re: Champion 2000 Inverter Generator will not startYes I used the choke because the motor was cold. After several pulls I did turn the choke off because I did not want to flood the motor.Champion 2000 Inverter Generator will not startLast week I was dry camping at Bristol Motor Speedway for the races. I was using one of my Champion 2000 Inverter Generators to power my travel trailer while I changed cell phones ect.. When I woke up the next morning the generator was off and out of fuel. I filled the generator with fuel and tried starting it. The unit sputtered one time for about 5 seconds, after about the 5th pull. I tried multiple times to start the generator with no success. I pulled the spark plug and it looked fine but I replaced it with a new one. I tested the volts coming from the plug wire. When turning the motor over the plug wire reads 2-3.5 volts. I also drained the carberator bowl just to make sure the carb was getting fuel. Oil level was also good and the low oil light did not illuminate when trying to start the generator. I re-assembled the generator and it still will not start. I do service the unit regularly and had done so just before the trip. Oil change, cleaned the spark plug, cleaned and oiled the air filter, cleaned spark arrestor and screen. I also store the unit with no fuel and in a dry place. Any thoughts?Help: electrical shock!I have a 2011 Jayco JayFeather 242 TT. Recently I noticed when I am plugged into shore power that I am getting a slight electrical shock. This occures when touching metal parts under the belly of the trailer. Any metal connected to the frame, stabilizer jacks ect.. I never noticed this before but, on my last trip it got me good a couple of times. Also it doesnt seem to be as bad if the trailer is grounded. Meening one of the stabilizer jacks being placed directly onto the ground instead of a level piece of wood or plastic. Any thoughts?
