All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Gray tank plugged, limited optionsExactly. Well not exactly but something very similar in mind. Using the clear elbow. But after listening to the responses and then doing a lot more research I’m thinking it may be as they’ve said above that it’s the valve. I went to YouTube and found very technical information from valve manufacturers that seem to describe my issue. Since you’ve been kind enough to provide your thoughts, maybe I’ll pick your mind just a little further. Solution # 2 As you say no solutions, especially replacing the valve with a full tank could spell disaster. So at this point I’m sure that I have to figure out a way to drain the tank in place, without spills before attempting the valve replacement. Problem. Inside my RV I know where the tank vent comes up through the wall and I think I can easily gain access to it. I was thinking of cutting through the pipe several feet above the floor and then renting a pump, dropping the intake hose down into the full gray tank, the outlet hose into my toilet with the black tank valve open. Opinion(s)? Thanks regardless.Re: 2004 Keystone Laredo, 29GR, plumbing/waste tank diagramswell, while I can see where on a specific, single house project there may not be drawing of precise plumbing and electrical runs, I don't believe for a second that Keystone produces multiple models of RVs by the hundreds without knowing pretty much exactly where the gray/black tanks will fit, how the plumbing will run to each and exit the RV. This is a production line, not one of a kind housing. And there is a need for that or I wouldn't be here obviously. The Customer Service rep simply didn't want to take her time up finding them for me... for free. In this day when all is on a disk somewhere(and betting those very plans too), Keystone should already have a system set up for such request from someone who purchases their products and needs this info. Perhaps I see customer service as providing service to the customer and some see it as providing as little service as possible.Re: 2004 Keystone Laredo, 29GR, plumbing/waste tank diagramsNow that I agree on(that they do have them scanned but just too lazy to find them, share). It does speak for Keystone and should give pause to anyone purchasing an RV from them. "We don't want to help you, you bought it, it's yours to deal with. We only get paid once"Re: 2004 Keystone Laredo, 29GR, plumbing/waste tank diagramsto be clear Lyle, my comment about building RVs from spare parts/ad lib was a bit of sarcasm... I hope. Although the CS person did insist drawings no longer exist, I assume there must have been some drawings to go by at least in the year my RV was produced. I do think it's disturbing that a company that builds them doesn't keep the drawings. The same person that made the decision to throw the drawings away I'm betting was the interior decorator that decided on the horrible fabrics and dog ugly furniture as she/he wanted to lose the evidence and the memory. No offense to our four legged friends.Re: 2004 Keystone Laredo, 29GR, plumbing/waste tank diagramsthanks for the replies anyway. Sounds like more deconstruction than I'd hoped for but I want to get this done before one of the cables break and I've got more problems to deal with.2004 Keystone Laredo, 29GR, plumbing/waste tank diagramsThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 286158342004 Keystone Laredo, 29GR, plumbing/waste tank diagramsI need to do some maintenance on my Laredo black/gray tanks, the associated valves and pull cables. Lube cables to waste valves if possible, replace them and valves if necessary. They're getting hard to pull. The problem is I'd like to know what I'm getting into before I open up the under carriage covering. I called Keystone and they insisted "no drawings, no diagrams exist. Call a dealer" ??? NOTE: the company that manufactures Keystone Laredo RVs apparently do it from spare parts and ad lib on the factory floor and use no diagrams/drawings... or so the customer service reps INSISTED. NO DRAWINGS. I've also searched Google... not getting anywhere. Does anyone else know where I might get an idea of what's up under the covering before I start removing it(it's one piece, covers the entire length of the RV frt to back). I'd like to see where the tanks are placed(2 gray/1 black) and how the plumbing going from them is laid out, where the valves are placed, how the cables run. 2004 Keystone Laredo, 29GRRe: Gray tank won't drainok, for those of you that seem to think I've not checked the most obvious: Yes, of course I tried filling it with the valve closed, as if I needed to since it was overflowing my kitchen sink, then tried emptying it, filling it(with hot water), emptying it, filling it/emptying it. All with the valve closed then opened to empty. I had a full tank by the gauge and by water backing up in my sink. Full I think is the most obvious answer here. So, I used my portable dump tank(note-25 gallons) to empty it(completely- 40 gallons) because I wanted to allow it the freedom of gushing from the 4" opening of the gray tank opening on the RV rather than the garden hose that it normally would just in case it was going to dispel something large. I wanted the power of the gush. So, when I drained it till no more was coming out... it filled but maybe a little more than half of the 25 gallon portable dump tank from my 40 gallon gray tank. Approx 12-15 gallons. I'm hoping I've convince even the most confident doubter that my 40 gallon gray tank has some issue beyond the gauge being bad, a plugged p trap. Sorry, I don't mean to be rude but some of the things some suggest must feel I'm not too bright at this despite my being a full time RVer since 2007, near 30k miles on the road most in the rough, and never had issues with black or gray tanks.Re: Gray tank won't draintried all suggestions that seemed appropriate... time to poke. Anyone wanna come over and help out with that? lolRe: Gray tank won't drainI'll do that. Thanks
