I am NOT looking for generalities.Re: F250 gas or diesel?OK. But do any of you have a 2017 F250 gasser? I have plenty of experience with the diesel--over 200,000 miles hauling my old camper and nearly 20,000 with the new one--at least 4-6 weeks a year. Separate adventures to AL, OR, CA, AZ, Many to CO from TN. I want to know what mpg the gasser gets hauling a 3,000# load! 70mph on interstate and 55 on other roads. Any maintenance issues? I had none with the 7.3. Already 2 extensive visits with the 6.7.F250 gas or diesel?I've had a 2001 and 2011 diesel mated to a Northern Lite 9.6 (2600#). Now looking at 2017 (owing to lack of reliability with the 2011). I am worried that the gas Lariat with 400 ft/lbs of torque will not be enough. Sure the diesel with 900+ would be fine. But with an added $8,500, not sure I want to go there. Anyone out there hauling a slide in of about 2,500# in the gasser? What do you think?Re: How many Northern Lite owners do we have? (revision 2)2017 (really a 2016) 9.6Q classic/2011 F250 diesel.Re: Shopping for a 3/4 ton, What fit issues should I expect?I'm considering my 3rd F250 for my second Northern Lite. One thing I know: the old F250s could handle 2500# and a little more. My 2011 has more torque and higher payload than my 2001 7.2l. The new trucks have bigger payload and more hp and torque. I generally put 10k miles per year and cross the Rockies at least once a year. No problem. I wonder if anyone out there has carried a truck camper in the gas F250 which has 15 less hp and half the torque of the new diesels?
