Same report by my friend with a new Forest River Hemisphere with I assume the same bracket. The front cap in your Cherokee (looking at the pix on FR's site) appear to be fiberglass, and the rear looks to be aluminum. Is this the case? Both the front and rear are aluminum on mine. Maybe the curved aluminum disrupts the signal sufficiently to create a poor experience.Re: TT pre-wired for camera - system is junk (maybe)I thought I'd followup here - I tried a different camera system from Furrion - their Observation Camera System. That's the one that's supposed to work on the open road. I had the same experience as with the Way Interglobal unit - it worked while parked around cover but once out of my carport, nothing. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that my camper is Aluminum not fiberglass and the aluminum is reflecting the signal.Re: Way Interglobal Backup CameraI thought I'd followup here - I tried a different camera system from Furrion - their Observation Camera System. Man, I still love it! we've had it out 8 nights so far this year. I really haven't done any modifications to it since my last post. General maintenance, sure but mods, no. I did want to share an experience I had though, since there was some interest in my other thread about cameras. I tried to go ahead and add a Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System. The installation went well; I actually installed it while at the campground. Unfortunately though, this system did not work for us. The camera functioned just fine when testing before installation, but once it was mounted on our aluminum-bodied trailer, I couldn't get a signal in my tow vehicle. Quite disappointed in this, but going to send it back and get a wired system.Re: Your favorite driving music?Holiday RoadRe: Crazy drivingI'm more of a 62 MPH'er. but I'm also a 400 miles per day'er. it makes for some long days sometimes. but the margin of safety keeps my mind at ease. I also know that if something happens ahead of me I have more time to react. Case in point, sometime on our trip to CA from CO, I was cruising along at 62, when some schmuck with a single axle cargo trailer goes zooming by, my guess is in the 75-80 MPH range. I think it was a 70MPH zone. He basically passed me like I was standing still. As he passed and got in lane ahead of me I watched his right rear trailer tire shred to pieces. I was going slow enough that none of the rubber impacted our Jeep or Trailer. He was oblivious that he lost a tire. We were coming up to traffic, and it took almost 2 miles, with me signaling and flashing my brights before he finally pulled to the side of the road. I suppose he was in a hurry.Re: Way Interglobal Backup CameraThat is correct, so there is a possibility that it is not up to the same quality control, is a clone, or whatever. Personally, I am not willing to make that bet.Re: Way Interglobal Backup CameraMy camera stopped working today. I am sending it back.Re: TT pre-wired for camera - system is junk (maybe)Well, the camera stopped connecting at all. I am sending it back!Re: TT pre-wired for camera - system is junk (maybe)Thanks RSD for sharing this info. I have confirmed on my trailer that the camera power is only on when the running lights are on. Other people might want to check their own situation.
