Bumped the mirror once, usually fast & easy. Road from San Luis is good, easy drive.Re: Hot/Cold showerI think you need to adjust the pressure on your pump, either up or down so it doesn't surge when both hot and cold are turned on.quick trip to San FelipeCrossed the border at San Luis, the agents checked the registrations for both vehicles ( we were towing a car ). I asked him if we should get a 7 day visa for San Felipe. He said " no, for San Felipe you don't need it". We always do get the 180 day visa when we go for the winter.Re: ReadyBrake Failure CouplerWe have the ready brute system. Went to Kansas and had them install the Demco baseplate ( which they recommended ) This was in 2014 on the new Ram. Recently the nylon fitting that goes through the bumper broke, the cable got in a bind and applied the brakes. We were not towing at the time. I have no idea why the fitting broke, possibly someone pulled the cable while parked?? Anyway I called & talked to Todd. He said there was no warranty on that part and I would need to replace it and also the cable going to the brake pedal as I would never get the original cable back through the housing. I ordered the parts for $40. ( $18. for the nylon fitting, $12. for the cable & $10. for shipping ). Before the parts arrived I decided to fix it myself. For less than $2. I made a steel fitting, and with some patience and some graphite was able to get the cable back through the housing to the brake pedal. When the parts arrived I refused them and told NSA I was really disappointed in their customer service and would no longer recommend their products. When I talked to Todd I thought he was less than helpful and a bit arrogant. Just my feelings.Re: Limiting large vehicles to 68 MPHAs a big rig driver ( part time ) I want to put in my 2 cents worth. I did not read the article, but I can tell you one problem with the speed control on large fleets. One truck is limited to 68 mph. Another is set at 681/2, so he pulls out to pass and stays in the left lane for the next 5 miles with traffic backed up behind both because neither one will be considerate and not become a rolling road block. There are professional drivers and there are jerks out there.Re: Change your oil- yourself or shopI also do my own service. I installed the fumoto valve and can drain the oil without spilling any. While doing the oil I lube the fittings and look for anything else that may need attention.Re: Added gear for newer F53's1 ton Fords have had the 6 speed behind the diesel engine for at least 4 years. Does the display in the dash always show what gear it is in? I wish my Ram 8 speed would do that. It does not.Re: exterior sunshadesWe have the sun guard and went with the twist locks because sometimes we get 40 mph winds in the Baja. They work as advertised & we are happy with them.Had them ordered to fit and installed at an rv dealer.Re: Ford F-150 as a toad?I tow a 2014 ram 4x4 weighs in at 5,000 lbs. It feels as easy to tow as the 04 tracker it replaced. Put the transfer case in neutral, pull the key & not necessary to stop & start the engine periodically.Re: Tow barI also use the ready brute elite and recommend it. We went to the factory in Kansas and had them install the demco base plate. Good people and easy to work with.
