Ron You can buy this on amazon. I doubt 45 feet would cause a back pressure issue, but at these prices it might be worth flipping the MH around Connector/dp/B000EILZZM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390257019&sr=8-2&keywords=exhaust+hoseRe: RV driving lessons ASAP Please!I was calling around looking at RVs 15 years ago or so. I called about a 34' pace arrow I found in the RV trader. When I asked for directions to come take a look I was amazed the guy I was talking to was less than 100 ft away from me. Turned out to be my neighbor directly behind me. My wife and I walk over there, like what we see and the guy says "here, take it for a ride" and threw me the keys. I told him I'd never driven anything that big before and he says it's a snap to drive, no big deal. Well, there were a few mailboxes and garbage cans in my neighborhood that might have argued with his assessments by the end of my test ride, but no serious damage. Big RVs aren't too tough to drive, but you have to learn how to adjust for inside turns and rear end swing. Obviously backing up can be a challenge. If you don't have anyone you know with a MH to get you oriented, I think that RV class in Sarasota sounds like a fantastic idea. Of course you have to get there first. If you get stuck, drop me a message. I live in Orlando near UCF. I have a TT right now, but we have the Class A bug again.Re: Cell phonesHere's my solution: phone A bit pricy, but the coverage is unsurpassedRe: Electric powered trailer mover/dolly.Here you go. Looks like a gateway to disaster to me, but what do I know? http://youtu.be/Z4XxPjv31ioRe: 2011 Thor 29.1 Review, Poor MPGIf I recall correctly, my 86 Pace Arrow got 7 or 8 on a good day with its 454. I think my 71 Chevelle got the same with its 454. Mileage is completely independent of weight and aerodynamics with that engine.Re: New to TTSounds like you're looking for a 5th wheel, esp considering your TV. I agree with the others that you should go to the shows and dealers and window shop and find an appealing floor plan. From there I'd cruise the RV trader and Craigslist to get some idea of prices. For 10 k I'm thinking you're looking at something 5 to 10 years old. I just sold a 2004 hybrid that was I fair shape, so I'm sure there are some deals out there on your price range that would need minimal work to be good to go. If you are a former class A type you probably know what to look for as far as condition. Just no engine or drive train to worry aboutRe: two seasons of TT'ing under my belt and... 2012Coleman wrote: If you want to come to Florida... I would'nt reccommend Anastasia State park as sites are small ... Couldnt disagree with you more about Anastasia. We've been going there for more than 20 years with everything from tents, to TTs to a 34' Class A. Only complaint I have about Anastasia is its tough sometimes to get my sat dish in a spot I can get a signal due to the trees. But that was always part of the charm of the park. You're right on about North Beach and Gamble Rogers though. As others have said, the time you want to take your trip is right in the spring break area, so expect crowds if you can find a reservation.Re: Supercharge my motor wallynm wrote: I suggest a BANKS system first. Lots of different products on the Bankspoower web site you linked toRe: 2012 Thor HurricaneDitto what effy said about gas towing capacity. We've been looking at similar gas MHs and took a liking to the Georgetown BH model. Seemed to is the interior trim and layout of the bunks were nicer than the Thor, but that might be a matter of personal taste. Here's a video of a model similar to the one we looked at. Pretty sure it has the triton V-10 http://youtu.be/a6Yz8QDxIiQRe: Replacement Mattress Options? Our mattress (OEM from the mfg) was horrible. 4 or 5 layers of what looked like stiff wool instead of foam. I did a bit of research and got this Dynasty Mattress from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0097X6730/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'm not going to rave about it and say its so great that I'm getting one for home. But it is pretty good for the money. It weighs about 50 pounds, comes rolled up in a vacuum sealed bag, and self inflates once you open it up. Just take out your old mattress, place the bagged, rolled up new one on your bed, carefully cut the plastic off and let it unroll in the rolled up direction (don't do what we did when we mistook the top from the bottom and rolled it out the hard way and then had to turn it over again). The instructions say it takes 72 hours to fully restore itself, but it seemed to be fully inflated within a day. Some of the reviews on this mattress complained about a chemical smell. There is definitely a smell (like anything new), but it subsided within a couple of days. Its very comfortable, a bit heavier than the original, but still allows us to lift our underbid storage compartment. It seems to be a bit longer than the original, maybe thats because its much thicker and my bedroom space is tight. We like this one a lot. Medium to firm. Does not create a crater where you lie that makes it difficult to get out of bed. Best of all, it comes with two memory foam/gel pillows that I also like a lot.
