Bring your old one so the can match the ends and length.Re: Looking for a refrigerator.Yes, there is. Mine is a NovaKool RFU 9000. Google that brand and model number to get to their website. It is made in BC, Canada. I had one for twenty years until it developed a leak and so I did a lot of research and bought another one. The compressor, cooling coils and fan are all it the base of the unit. It also has a bottom freezer which I like. Looking forward to another 20 years of worry free use.Re: Dometic VS Norcold dc refrigeratorsI have the RFU 9000 from NovaKool. 9.1 cuff. I really like it as the freezer is on the bottom.Re: Paint for fiberglass roofThank you for the recommendation. I will use that product, but I will paint first as I am going to use flexible panels that will be glued down. Yes, they are less efficient but will serve my needs without making any roof penetrations.Paint for fiberglass roofAfter many years I need to paint the roof of my coach. Solid fiberglass, not laminated. I want to do this before I add a couple of solar panels. Needs to be durable and reflective. Suggestions?Re: Anyone with a THERMOSAN ?1976 FMC here! My coach had one as OEM standard equipment. By the time I bought the coach in 1999, the intake and output parts were gone. Pump was still there and operable. While I lremoved the pump when doing my engine change from the 440 to a Duramax diesel, I still have the pump. It needs new tubing but otherwise is fine. Every now and then I think about reinstalling it! It is my understanding that if they were OEM they could be maintained and used but only if OEM.Re: RVs over 10 years old are valueless Matt_Colie wrote: I did make an entry to this thread just about a month ago but I decided to drop in and see where it was going..... We are hosts for Boondockers Welcome I have decided that I will request a recent picture of all rigs less than 10 years old. I will make a special allowance for any over forty years old. Matt Matt, I might get in where you can’t as mine is three years younger than yours! I have been in a number of parks where I have seen them looking past me then when parked and looking over the rules seen the 10 year rule. But as campground crowding continues and parks are sold to new owners I expect to run into being turned away at some point. It’s their option and will just move down the road. I have had mine for 21 years and not going to change now.Re: Gasser guys and gals ...why not a diesel ?I am in a whole other category! I have a coach that was a rear engined gas coach. The engine of the 70’s was the Chrysler 440 which mine had. Was nice to drive as was quiet, but got 7 mpg. I always liked Diesel engines but liked my paid for coach better. Then I got the wild idea to convert my 29 ft rear engined coach with its old design gas engine to a modern Diesel engine. So I did! Bought a rolled 2006 GMC pickup with a Duramax and a six spd Allison. Out of pocket cost was $18,000 to move forward 30 years as to the power train. Hp when from about 220 to 360 and torque from 350 to 620. I weigh 15,000 lbs fully loaded. Mpg went from 7 to 13 and it is fun to drive. I have put 75,000 miles on the conversion and I calculated break even at about 45,000 miles. A whole different road!Re: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?Just for everyone’s information, a day or so ago a 1976 FMC like mine that had the drive train and many other parts/systems upgraded or cleaned up just sold on the Bring a Trailer auction site for $151,000. I am glad Len and Robert, the two people that did the work, didn’t “stick a fork” in it! I did the same drive train upgrade that was done to that coach. I didn’t do it looking at resale value. I did it for my own use and enjoyment of the coach.Re: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?I spent from 2010 to 2014 removing my engine and transmission and cleaning up and adding three layers to the firewall and installing a more modern engine and transmission. I also replaced the original gas stove and oven with an induction cook top and convection oven. And guess what - my coach is older than his! What happened afterward? I have put 60,000 miles on my new and improved coach. I keep passing the new coaches on the grades! Sure glad that I didn’t “stick a fork in it”!!
