why would you use propane while driving. This very dangerous and against the law in most states. You are basically driving a gas bomb. if for some reason you are involved in an accident the complete rig could explode. just upgraded my TV to a heavy duty. Used the weight dist hitch and was glad I did helped control side sway and passing big rigs. Brake controller is mandatory by state and federal law. not having it will also put alot of stress on the tow veh. remember you have to stop the rig. have seen a few slide through intersections with tires smoking not a pretty sight...601Views0likes0CommentsRe: Water filter for drinking water only?
most campgrounds are on well water. spent last summer at a campground that the water was so bad with sediment, junk in general that I was changing sediment filters every 30 days or less. Had the water tested and the calicum was so high the lab recommended do not ingest.Be careful of campground water it is normally not tested. shower, wash hands, dishes, but don't drink it.638Views0likes0CommentsRe: Load Range E tire pressure: how do you keep them up?
I'm a retired long haul trucker.(12 years owner) I'm in the habit to check tire pressure when ever I move the trailer. Always check them when the sun is not shinning on them for a period of time. normally have to add a few pounds each time. No my tires do not have leaks. tires will loose a couple pounds over a few weeks. Pressure will also change with temps, altitude, and driving speeds. A soft tire will come apart internally over time due to flex of the plys. suggest a few of you need to talk to your tire dealer about adding air. When you pay $600. for one tire you learn to take care and check air pressure. Those of you that say you don't have to add air, are you using nitrogen??? and if so don't add compressed air to those tires, you will have problems...295Views0likes0CommentsRe: Electrical Issue
check your main power cord is plugged in and the collar is tight. We pulled a TT 6850 dry weight after DW was finished around 7200lbs. Pulled with 2013 Chevy ext cab 5.3 v8 towing package equalizer hitch had no problems up hills averaged 9mpg towing. We stay around 62mph towing. 1)We do control our service dog. 2) He does not read so signs won't work. 3) we do direct him to the dog park, sometimes he ha an accident and pee's on a plant or gravel. 4) do park sand base has not been changed in 2 years so when wet it really stinks. 5) our animal came down with Valley fever while we were at the park. (caused by dirt and unsanitary conditions) We are responsible owners and do pick up after him. My ***** has been unpublished rules that we found out about after moving in. Park policy that animals be 40lbs or less, and we saw labs, shepards, full size schnoosers. rules at the discreation of the manager.
