Im afraid that this may be starting to get over my pay grade.Re: Heater Help for newbieGood afternoon guys. I have to bump this back up to the top. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you all. Today is the first time that I have had the opportunity to get back out to the trailer. My Heater made by Suburban. Im honestly not sure which model. My Manuel says its for Gas Models SF20Q-SHD2542Q I also called the dealership asking the Tech to walk me through some trouble shooting and he wasn't much help. Pretty busy I imagine. Recap: -The propane is getting to the trailer with no air in the lines. All burners on the stove run fine at the same time. -I have plenty of power. Im plugged into 30A in storage. -When I turn on the furnace, the fan starts automatically. When I run outside I can hear the ignitor cycle on and off 3 times and I can smell propane coming out of the heater unit. After 3 attempts the fan will blow for an additional 3-5 minutes and then the whole unit will shut off and I'll have to reset. There has to be something stupid that I am missing on my end. The unit is brand new and I just took delivery of the trailer in June of this year. Never tried to run the unit before. I unscrewed the cover below the oven and tried to see if I could get a peak. Its tucked up under there good and I can't see anything except a few wires. All connections are hidden. On the exterior I only have the combustion chambers visible. AGRe: Heater Help for newbieThanks for all the replies. Can someone show me a picture of what the sail switch looks like?Re: Heater Help for newbie westend wrote: If the furnace has failed to light for three or more times, you will need to remove the lock out memory by removing power from the thermostat. Remove power, wait ten seconds, reconnect. Ok will try that this weekend. Thank youRe: Heater Help for newbieStove lights and strong flame( even w all burners at the same time)Re: Heater Help for newbieThanks for all the quick responses. I have the electric igniter according to my instructions. Also, I have the trailer plugged in at the storage facility so there shouldnt'be an issue with voltage. I have the cages over my intake/exhaust but I will see if something crawled up in there anyway. Fan comes on and runs for about 5 minutes and then just cycles off. It was about 50 degrees outside at the time and I had the heater set to run up to 85. Thanks for all the responses. AustinHeater Help for newbieGood afternoon all. I have a quick question regarding the heater in my new Travel Trailer. I took delivery of the trailer in the middle of the summer so I didn't test the heater at the dealership. I am preparing for a trip over Thanksgiving so I went out to try an fire the furnace up and had no luck. I pulled out the manuel for the furnace and following the instructions for the first light but Im still not having any luck. Could there be something blindingly stupid that Im just missing? Why the blower comes on but as far as I can tell there is never a lighting of the furnace. No click form the ignitor either? The blower runs for about 5 minutes an then turns itself off. Never any warm air coming out the vents? I tried both propane tanks and I even ran the stovetop to make sure there wasn't any air in the lines? What else could I be missing. Thanks in advance AGRe: Cooling trailer while drivingRobertsunrus, nice setup. Ok so the consensus is that is ok to crack the vents a bit. I'll set be looking into the vent covers as well. Can't imagine those would be much to install either. Thanks all for the repliesCooling trailer while drivingThe Texas heat is officially upon us. My pregnant wife asked me politely to ask online if you guys and dolls can provide any creative ideas for cooling the trailer while driving. Our dealer specifically told me to make sure all Windoes and popup vents are closed tight when towing? Do you guys agree. When we went to pick up our trailer the other day it had to be 130 degrees inside. Takes quite a while to cool it off when it's that hot inside. Also, w it getting that hot inside I was wondering if it may be a good idea for is to take all our liquid products w us each time we come and go. Maybe a bag set up w all out cleaning products, toothpaste, shampoo etc, so it doesn't dry out ove the course of a few weeks??? Thanks in advance AGRe: E-Tailer for supplies Read my post about Etrailer...I was referred to the company that manufactures Reese. A good company...I have a Pro-Series WDH with SC.
