Guess I should have watched the batts closer, but I've never had an overcharging problem in all these years. This is my 3rd or 4th new set of batts. Charging them now, but I'm sure they are not as good as new. I'm monitoring the water usage as they charge. Hope I didn't mess up inverter too.inverter ??'sJust got back from wintering in Texas. Installed new house batts last fall. Over winter noticed inverter running too much ( cooling fan rubbibg while furnace on, etc) I posted here & was advised to clean inverter with air blower, Didn't want to do it there. So Got home checked batts, out of water!!I didn't notice batts were wet in Twxas. Anyway, refilled batts & inverter started re-charging. How long should this take? Why were they dry to begin with.Phanton radio controlsIt appears that my dash radio om my MH has developed a mind of its own lately. It is an alpine, installed years ago, but now it turns itself on whenever it pleases. Coach is home from winter Texan residence & not being used, but every day or two, I go out & the dial is lit. It is drawing down the engine batts of course. Any ideas?? or is it time for a new radio?heart inverter noiseI have a 1999 coach that came with the heart inverter. It has worked well all these years. Lately the cooling fan has been coming on even when no load is on the batteries. I recently installed 4 new house batteries. Is my inverter going to fail, or, is there a battery problem??oil change frequencyMy coach is a 1999 diesel pusher I bought new. Changed oil once a year every year. Coach has just over 100K. Thought I might go to once every two years as they are really expensive. I don't want to do them myself. Any thoughts??Re: Tradewinds door problemThanks for the reply, but the problem is the door is "raked" at the top, to match the rake of the windshield, so their are NO hinges above about the center of the door.Tradewinds door problemHope somebody with an older Tradewinds has solved this problem. Mine is a '99, & the front door ddoes not seal properly around the top. Very noisy, VERY ! I've tried new weatherstripping, several times, & adjusting the latches. Nothing seems to work for very long. If you look at the outside of the closed door, you can see the top is away drom the coach by maybe 1/2 inch. Help!Re: Breakdown InformationBadeye, good idea. Mine are as follows: Cat. 3126 Allison 22,000 miles Alternator needle started going "down" After awhile, engine was running, but shifting was getting erratic Cause was a failing Leece Neville alternator Freightliner dealer in Waco Tx. got us in immediately, diagnosed the problem, & ordered the new alternator. It came air freight, & we were on our way late the next day. Freightliner & Leece Neville declined to cover cost as "it is out of warranty".It was because of the age, by about 4 months, but still only 22,000 miles. My second was the familiar "zipper" blow out on the Michelin tire. It happened on an interstate, cool temps, not even close to overload, at about 25,000 miles.
