Up to 6 tuners to record 6 programs at a time. They also handle all the major streaming services like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and Vudo and integrate the available streaming programming into your shows directory. ONLY box on the market that can do all this. Cable company DVRs don't come close.Re: Why bother sending a coupon if they are going to refuse it? fla-gypsy wrote: Nah, I think I will continue to point out the obvious every chance I get. Whatever floats yer boat.Re: Why bother sending a coupon if they are going to refuse it? afrescop wrote: An observation: you state "my time is more valuable than chasing slips of paper" yet you have spend much more time posting your complaint on here. CW did offer a solution to your complaint yet you have continued to complain. Would it not have been better to post in your initial posting what you would consider an agreeable solution for you? Just say'n. I actually did just that in the correspondence with the rep. They were unable to honor the original offer or offer any explanation why the offer was sent with no method of redemption. I have had PM notes from others that indicated a few store managers were willing to manually accept the coupon in person at the store, but they do not work at the register either. Other online vendors would have resolved this immediately, not given a customer trying to return the run around. Heck, CS at WalMart is better than this and they are nothing great. What I did not say directly and is really more the reason, I do not trust that CW would actually mail me the check as promised without significant additional follow up. Its just the way they avoid doing business and I have prior history with them doing similar. CampingWorld offers nothing I cannot get cheaper and with better service both locally and online from other retailers. I do still do business with other parts of the Affinity Group.Re: Why bother sending a coupon if they are going to refuse it?I heard back from Camping World. They responded that I could make a purchase and send the receipt along with the coupon to an address they provided (it was not on the coupon) and they would send me a check. They then indicated that since they were willing to do this the coupon was indeed valid. Sorry but that is not a coupon, its a mail in rebate and given the history I have had with CW, I have little faith it would ever get paid. My time is more valuable than chasing slips of paper to get small checks in the mail because CW cannot manage to honor a simple coupon offer they print and send out. As stated in the previous posts, I would LIKE to do business with them but as long as they continue to use these less than forthright business practices, I will have to continue not doing so.Re: Why bother sending a coupon if they are going to refuse it? fla-gypsy wrote: Why is it I never have a problem with CW/GS regardless of where or what I am purchasing including the use of coupons? Luck?, I think not since it doesn't seem to carry over to other endeavors. The end user? I don't know. Most of these posts seem to involve purchases via the internet. Possibly a lack of working knowledge of how to navigate the system? It is a curious phenomena that has never plagued any purchase I made. I am so glad your black tank don't stink and your are most perfect in every way. But if you have nothing to add to the thread, keep yer trap shut. The coupon does not work as described. Its not a user error, I am quite capable of computer usage and internet protocols. Its a CW error, not mine. There is not a CW physical store withing 50 miles of me so going to one is not gonna happen. It was a sales catalog for the online site and the coupon should work as advertised. It does not. If you are happy doing business with CW and getting ripped off, fine. Some of us are not. They can either come clean and do business in an upstanding way or go out of business. I WANT to do business with them. I APPRECIATE that they sponsor this forum and other things in this industry. They just need to do business in a much better and more upstanding way.Re: Why bother sending a coupon if they are going to refuse it?I sent Good Sam Care Team a PM as requested yesterday but have not yet heard back. It is the weekend. I will post up if this gets resolved or not.Long time since last used GSRA, But no problems! It had been years since I last called GSRA for assistance. Last week my trusty pickup was disabled. Here at my home but disabled none the less and needed a tow to a nearby mechanic for repair. Called GSRA, they contacted a decent top operator who was hear about 90 minutes later. Picked up my truck on the roll back wrecker and dropped it off at NTB a few miles away. No damage and very professional. I just signed the paper work and tipped the driver who was very helpful. Heck, NTB even stayed late Sat night and finished the water pump and I picked it up Sunday morning. No complaints on this one. Thanks.:BWhy bother sending a coupon if they are going to refuse it?Its been a while since I had ordered anything or been in to a CW store. This week I got a sales catalog in the mail and on the back is a coupon that states: $25 Off any purchase, No minimum purchase, No strings attached. Then a paragraph of small text that basicly says it cannot be applied to previous purchases or redeemed for cash and it expires March 15th. I went to CampingWorld.com figuring I would give them another try since they wanted to pay me $25 to come back. Put a few items in my cart totaling well over $25 and went to check out. Put in the coupon code on the coupon and the web site says the coupon is not valid on any of the items in the cart. Yes, at least one item was over $25. Why do they bother to print and mail these promotions if they are not going to honor them. Do they really think I will just say oh well, thanks for the privilege of being ripped off? So I left the CW web site without buying anything came here to complain about it and once again resolve that CW is just not worth the trouble to try and do business with, just as I had though for the last few years.Re: Fridge-Fix by Smart RV Products - has anyone installed?I bought one and for the price it was a PIA to install. Took a good deal of fabrication to get the thing to fit and they way they use the cooling fins for part of the electrical circuit does not work well. On mine, not at all. Overall, for $100 for 2 computer fans in a 'custom' enclosure it should have fit perfectly without any reworking. Not impressed. And the fans are not very quiet. I can hear them in the living room with the fridge door closed.Re: Necessity of a spare? uncle t wrote: I got a tire for free and carried it to Alaska. when I returned I put the tire on craigs list in the free column and it was gone immediately. lots of weight- lots of room. those that carry a mounted spare must have the ability to forecast which of the three different rims are going to have the tire blow. those that carry an unmounted spare and a breaker bar are fooling themselves that they can mount a 22.5 tire on the side of the road. the torque on my tires are 600# good luck with that. roadside assistance contract. We carry a mounted spare (all 6 wheels are the same rim on our FORD chasis) a jack and an air impact wrench that will indeed remove the lugs. Also have a gear reduction lug wrench that even my mother could turn to loosen the lugs, just takes a few more turns. We have had 2 blowouts over the years. Both Goodyears by the way....never again. Each time I call GSRA, they sent a truck and he changed the tire. Did not use our jack or the wrench either time, just our mounted spare. The service hand took the mounted spare out of the compartment and put the shreadded remains back in. Sitting on the side of the interstate for many hours on a holiday weekend while folks in an India call center try and find an oddball size Chinese tire (no decent tires are on service trucks) and send it to you and charge you 2 or 3x the going price for it is not a good idea. The second blowout I had had enough of my Goodyears and wanted a complete new set. Asked the driver if he had any advice in nearby major city for purchase of decent name brand tires. The referral was great. The tire shop was over the top helpful, very fairly priced and had them and a crew waiting for us when we drove in. Much different buying tires you want vs buying what you have to.
