I5 at Shasta is a looonnggg climb but several passing lanes then a long downhill. Lots of big rig traffic. You can take US395 to Susanville / Alturas. From there you have several choices. Alturas is fairly flat and desolate. If I recall, continue north gets you to Medford, OR. Take Susanville thru a series of smaller California highways to Weed just south of Mt. Shasta. Or stay on US 395 till you get to Yakima, WA. Take I90 west into SEA. Enjoy Emerald City.Re: 2006 Hurricane 12 volt only on shore power or Generator. We had this exact issue with our 2008 FW Hurricane 34B after the house batteries died. I replaced the three house batteries and same interior electrical problem as you mentioned. I called Thor and was told the reset was under the master bed. I looked and never found a button under the bed. It was found by the mechanic to be under the hood as you described. Remindes me to make a label for the main breaker pannel at the master bed and one for the batt control box.Re: House Power issueMy friend and I and looked again and to no avail. I even called Camping World Service Dept. The gal told me that I should be in the right area or under the hood. We checked in the engine compartment and found another electrical center. Nothing looks like the battery disconnect solenoids I found on line. Argh.. Looks like a service appt to Camping World is next. Thanks for the help anyway.Re: House Power issueI'm having the same problem on my 2008 FW Hurricane 34B. I ran my house batteries so low I ended up replacing the aged batteries. No house power. I start the Gen and about 15 seconds later the house power kicks on. I called Thor and the service tech told me to look hard under the master bed. In some other wires is a red 6 gauge going to a two terminal little grey box. The copper wire terminal will have a reset button. The silver terminal will not. The problem is, I still can't find any of this he described. I'm hoping the original poster took a pic of what he found to post up for me. I'm headed to the rv first thing to look again. We've got a trip to Blaine Friday for a few days. We'll be in Vancouver most of the time.Re: Camping Near the San Juan ISlandsI live on the Orcas Island, San Juan's. You all are pretty accurate with info. WA State Ferry RV fees are based on length and height and number of passengers. Were in tourist season so fees are a premium. Bring your rv if your wallet can afford it but for just a short visit it may not be. There is parking at the ferry landing for a fee. The various lots should have accommodations for your 35 ft er. I'm happy to help if any of you or the OP has further questions.Re: DRAT! Rotten egg smell = Installing new batteries today!Humm, I'm not familiar with the rotten egg smell related to batteries. We just had our 2008 FW Hurricane out at a full hook up rv park for 6 nights. Our RV is stored with out power. As soon as we parked I noticed the egg smell. I thought it was a dirty rv site or something. We were plugged into shore power the 6 nights. We finished camping. I went to retract the three slides and levelers (individually) and clearly we were out or about out of battery juice. I could start and run the gen. That appeared to help get everything tucked back in. The gen. shut off many times while retracting slides. Never had this happen before. Wasn't really sure what to do. Either way we got it handled. Now I know to check the house batteries. I'm sure they are the originals. On a related note. I'd like to put a little 2 watt solar charger on the dash plugged into the cig lighter. I think that when I turn the coach and house battery master switches off at the door the cig lighter plug won't take the charge. Am I correct?Re: Carson CityGold Dust West hotel, casino and Rv park is right in Carson City. We stayed there a week. Nothing great but inexpensive and convenient at the time. http://www.gdwcasino.com/Carson/lodgingRV.phpRe: Olympic Peninsula, WA - all NFS sites 21-foot limit?Nina, Were you at Moran a State park two summers ago as camp hosts? I was in our Class A near the group house and Ranger house two years ago when I just moved to Orcas.Re: Stuck on I20 EB 14 hours, still sitting.I was in Anniston that week for training. The snow shut down two days of four days of training. The rest of us from states that get snow thought they were pulling our leg. They weren't. Hope you made it to your destination safely.Re: Another comparison questionWe looked at a dozen various length and engine class A's, new and used. We bought a beautiful used Hurricane 34B and love it. The low miles, great price and the 3 slides made it the one. We're thoroughly enjoying our entry level class A. Sadly we even sat with a dealer to order a brand new Moho. He was suppose to call us in a week for the final $ and never did. I called him and didn't bother to return my call. We quickly moved on. We were qualified to buy and ready to buy. Guess he wasn't to hungry for the business. Buy the Moho that fits your needs.
