The Cab is from a 2000 Chevy 3500 Van/Truck on this Class C Winnebago Seems someone was very enthusiastic about viewing the inside and used blunt force trauma to punch the door lock into the door leaving a hole. No idea what damage that did to the mechanism, but presumably it will need some parts. Hoping the cylinder is floating around at the bottom of the door somewhere. Anyone had this problem? Guess at what parts I am likely to need? Know of an exploded parts diagram online. Thx in advance. (dont trust storage yards to effect security ) Re: 'winnebago chalet grey valve' found 0 matches. Joe417 wrote: The valve could be either size. Our 5th W. has standard Valtera rv valves. The handles screw off and 1/4" aluminum rod screws onto the valve to allow it to reach the opposite side of the camper. Our black and grey1 tanks have 3" and the kitchen grey2 has the smaller 1.5" size. Hopefully another winnebago chalet owner will chime in and let you know which you have. Your other choices are to pop the cover off or call the factory. YEs this sounds right. Aluminum rod. 1.5 inch valve WHERE TO BUY ???????'winnebago chalet grey valve' found 0 matches.I assume this is like the MiniWinnie setup. The grey tank is on the opposite side of the vehicle from the sewer connection and a long metal rod runs from the handle at the sewer connection to the grey valve at the neck of the tank. Spent weeks trying to find this item online. Not even sure of the size but probably 1.5in?Re: Transmission rebuildone shop i spoke to said its the clutch. its very common with the 4L80 transRe: Transmission rebuild mexicownaderer wrote: Check condition of driveshaft slip sleeve that fits into the trans extension housing. Might as well cure the leaks. Can you expand on that a little. How does this cause a leak? You are obviously very knowledgable but please assume your audience is 5yo :)) slow detailed explanations are always appreciated.Re: Transmission rebuildwhat would be wrong with a product like this: http://tomsrivertransmissions.com $1k + shipping + installation... or this https://www.powertraindirect.com/chevy-transmissions-for-sale or even: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/4l60e-transmission-rebuiltRe: Transmission rebuildthx for the replys, 110k miles. burns about a quart per 1kmiles or a little more Coach condition... not A1, but many more years of life left for me to use it. fulltiming so gotta keep it going... I am guessing preious owner never pulled the trans pan off and did anything. Stuck valve... sounds like it could be. yes I did change the trans fluid when I bought it with 8ok miles on it. I need to find a chevy trans shop with someone that knows what they are doing. Ill call a around. $3k for a new trans is too much. I need a solution for half that )Transmission rebuildreverse provides almost no power to the wheels in this winnebago Chalet. I have added fluid to make sure that is not the problem. Forward gears are all strong. I am guessing this indicates a rebuild? How much should I expect to pay for this in CA. Its a chevy based 2000 model year. I assume the trans can be dropped out without removing the engine but this means putting the rig on a lift? The motor burns oil and shoudl really be rebuilt also but the rig is not worth that much. Looking for simple solutions...WHere o where are Winnebago Chalet wiring diagramsYes I checked the Winnebago website No they are not there for model year 98 -02. Any of those years would probably be fine. I dont think the Chalet is the same as the Minnie winnie ven tho it is a reduced feature versionRe: Cutting a vent fan hole in a Winnebago Chalet roofI cut a hole directly above the stove. The fan sits right next to the A/C housng. There were a number of wires running through the middle ofthe hole that had to be lengthened, mostly lighting wires. The fan is in the best location here and works really well.
