I bought it brand new, last one on the lot, for a steal of a price. I never had to return for warranty items. That's good but a unit built in 2009 or 2010 is not a unit built in 15/16/17 when they are enjoying record sales and can not push them out the door fast enough. Back then Lippert did not have as large a hand in the kitty, only the best workers were retained from the recession and slowdown, and sales were 50% of 06/07/08 and 14/15/16. No one ever takes that into consideration. Agree 100%. Current production practices are totally different than units built pre 2015. I do not have an FR product and own a 2013 Eclipse Attitude. Mine has been real good with no major issues.Re: Eclipse Attitude Frame CrackingI think this is fairly common...and yes it is ****. Lippert paid to have mine repaired and it was out of "warranty" 2013 Eclipse Attitude 27CBGRe: Eclipse owners with captain chairs info. Thanks for the info. I checked mine and the base was already in the forward position.Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???New set of 10 ply Maxxis tires put on. Hope they are as good as everyone says!!Re: San T FlushI just cleared a clog in mine. I determined the clog was between the check valve and the tank by disconnecting the hose at the check valve and blowing air into the line. It would not blow out into the tank thus I knew the clog was between the valve and tank. I disconnected the elbow fitting at the tank where the hose connects and it was packed(you can imagine what with-nasty). I cleaned it out, reinstalled and it now works fine. I have not always used the san t flush when I drained the tank but for now on, I plan on running water thru it to make sure it clears any crud out of there.Re: who's in the Sacramento area?Probably many areas near Auburn/Foresthill/Sugar Pine that would be closer to Sac than Reno. If you are ok with the drive, check out "Moonrocks" and this is also just north of Reno and closer than Mullen Creek.Re: How much fresh water does you rig hold? And gray, Black2013 Attitude CBG FW 106 BK 50 GY 50Re: F150 Towing SwayI used a 2011 F150 ecoboost with tow package to tow my Attitude toyhauler. 30' overall with dry weight of 6800. Loaded 9000 +/-. WD set up with 1 sway friction bar. It did pretty good. Never had issues with straight line tow power. In windy conditions or when being passed by a semi, it was usually a white knuckle event. I went with LT tires and that made a huge improvement in reducing my feeling that the trailer was pushing the tow vehicle around. Ultimately, I traded in on a RAM 2500. For me it is a much better, less stressful towing experience.Re: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???Converted to 6 volt batteries(Sams Club), wired and installed my new Atwood Power jack 3500 and put up a bungie net above the cabinetsRe: Towing a Toy Hauler with a F150 EcoboostAh yes, the battle of the trucks...and yes it typically does open a can of worms. Here is some real life experience- My trailer-2013 Attitude 27CBG toyhauler. Length 32'. Claimed dry weight 6800 and tongue weight 1050. Loaded with 100 gallons of water, a couple quads, food, etc probably looking at 9000 plus/minus. First tow vehicle-2011 Ford F150 Eco with max tow. Rated at 11300 tow capacity. Second tow vehicle-2014 RAM 2500 Diesel. Rated at 17000 tow capacity On the F150, I used a WD hitch with sway control. I also put E rated tires on it. I did not have any issues power wise. The twin turbo V6 generates great power. Where I did notice concern was in windy areas and when being passed by semis-a few white knuckle situations to say the least. Can the F150 handle it? Yes, but it is a lot of weight behind a 1/2 ton truck and there is, in my opinion, increased opportunity for a lost control situation at the weight I was towing. On the RAM, again I use a WD hitch and sway control. In comparing the 2, I feel the bigger tow vehicle handles the weight better without feeling the trailer pushing the truck around. Torque wise, hard to beat 800 lbs but comparing a gas turbo V6 vs a Cummings diesel is like comparing apples to oranges. So why did I replace the F150 with the RAM? The F150 developed a whining noise upon acceleration and after having it at 2 different Ford dealers for over a total of 40 days without them being able to diagnose and repair, I decided to go with a different truck, the RAM. Both are good products and even with my issue with the F150, overall I think it was a good truck. I think the F150 would be great with a 25' area trailer with loaded weight in the 7000 area. On the point of cost, there was only about 10k difference between what I paid for the F150 and the RAM...not a small amount but again not like the difference between a Civic and a Porsche!!! Good luck.
