It is an RM 3800 Serial #61503585. It is an automatic energy selector Dometic Royale. How would we go about finding a recall from that far back? SaraGoing to buy an Open RangeSo we know which Open Range we are getting. We have already named it Squeaky. However the brick wall I have run right into is how to not get taken advantage of by the RV dealership. What questions do I need to ask? Neither my husband or I have ever bought an RV before.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos mikes47 wrote: crochetdiva wrote: Does a checklist exist of what needs to go in an RV? Crochetdiva, there are many checklists available. In addition to checking on the Beginning RV section of RV.Net, (I think it is in the sticky section) you can google RV Checklist and get several. What goes in depends in a great part on how you plan to use your RV and what you want to have with you to pass the time - are you a hiker, how much crocheting do you want to do when you are overlooking a beautiful scenic spot? Will you stay in one campground for days/weeks at a time or will you pick up stakes and travel every other day? etc All my yarn goes with me which is why is why we are getting a bunk house RV.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosDoes a checklist exist of what needs to go in an RV?Re: New to Full Timing - Picking a Trailer wannavolunteerFT wrote: diva, I know you are looking at a new Coachmen there in ATL area, but I wanted to share a used Jayco on Craigslist less than 200 miles from ATL. It is a bit bigger and heavier, but you could probably get it for $20K at most, and might even could get seller to deliver, until you can trade tow vehicles for slightly larger tow. It has been listed for a while, and I know we don't have a large RV buying audience in this area (I helped my parents sell their MH a couple of years ago) so you can probably negotiate on it. Whatever you get, if it has an outside kitchen in the bunkhouse, you can probably tap those water/drain lines for a washer to add to bunkroom. Only problem with the jayco is putting the washer in a slide out area which I have heard may cause issues.Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012 Limoges_Camper wrote: crochetdiva wrote: I'm wondering if anybody has added a washer to a travel trailer? I added a bunch of these to mine. :D Washer as in Washer and Dryer This is the trailer we are thinking of getting and I'm stuck. The bunkhouse is for my business so I'm thinking of the dinette going and putting it there. http://www.rvworldofgeorgia.com/default.asp?page=xInventoryDetail&id=892901&p=1&vc=travel+trailer&s=Year&d=D&fr=xAllInventoryRe: New to Full Timing - Picking a TrailerWe haven't been able to tent camp because of my health. We have been staying in hotels and it is very stressful because of my allergies. We are both looking forward to having a trailer where home can come with us and it is going to be much more comfortable for my service dog also who spends the entire road trip trying to figure out why we aren't home and then as soon as we are home he is like so we are going to go again. As rigs become older, who made them becomes less and less important, and how well maintained they are becomes more and more important. Consider the "rating" of any model you look at. Rigs that are "rated" for Full-Time or Snow-Bird will generally have better upholstery, carpet, etc then a model, from the same manufacturer, that is only rated for "vacation" or "weekend". Several of the builder you have listed make models that are rated for "full-time" and models rated for "vacation", the two models will have the same floor plan, but vastly different wearability. How do you find out the rating of an RV?
