Thanks.Re: Michelin LTX Recall BLOWOUT!!!I just had the 7 recalled LT225/75R16 (LRE) speed rated R (106 MPH) tires replaced with Michelin XPS Rib 225/75R16 (LRE) speed rated Q tires (date code 4713), which were recommended by the 2 Michelin Consumer relations people I spoke with. However, per the Michelin web site, the XPS Ribs are shown as not recommended for use on our E450 Phoenix. I suspect it's because of the speed rating only. After replacement and a 46 mile trip back to my home, a preliminary report would be they seem ride a little better and track at least as good as the LT225/75R16 (LRE) tires they replaced. The XPS Rib tires are rated as summer tires but as we've never (and I don't expect to) been in mud or snow, they should serve us well. As of 3 days ago, the LT 225/75R16 M/S and LTX 225/75R16 M/S2 tires are back ordered for at least 8 weeks. Consequently, Michelin will pay for replacing the recalled LT 225/75R16 (LRE) tires with any competitor's tire as long as they have an LT rating; be load range E, have a minimum speed rating of R and be replaced by a Michelin dealer. Michelin's recommendation is to replace the recalled tires with either Uniroyal Laredo HD/H LT225/75R16/E 115S or B. F. Goodrich Commercial T/A LT225/75R16/E 115Q All Season tires (both companies are owned by Michelin).Re: Levelers down and still hooked up to my dinghyI've done it many times. Just make sure you leave the TOAD in the tow-ready condition so it can move around as needed when extending the jacks.Re: Ford EdgeWe towed a 2007 Edge over 25k miles with no issues. Put it in neutral, turn the key all the way back & go. Still driving it today with 97k miles showing.Re: Tablet: Windows or Droid? Thanks for all the input. Based on it I decided, as I have a big W7 laptop and a 10" XP Netbook, I'd go with an Android system. Consequently, I bought an 8" Samsung Galaxy Note w/16gB of memory and added a 64gB micro SD card. I figure as I've only used 75gB on the 17" laptop, 80gB is plenty for what I want. So far, it's faster than either of the others and the resolution is very good. Again, thanks all. You're input was wonderful.Tablet: Windows or Droid?Excuse my ignorance but I'd like to know a little more of whether I should buy a tablet having a Windows or Android operating system. My plan is to use for e-mail, browsing and programs such as Word, Excell, photo editing, forum participation, etc. May I ask for opinions regarding what my choice should be?Re: Class C on the Palisades Interstate Parkway?Considering the PIP starts in Fort Lee, NJ and ends at the Bear Mountain Bridge in Highland Falls, NY, use 9W, which runs more or less parallel and will get you to/from the same places. It'll also get you to Albany, NY, which is a lot further north.Re: Studying the B+ marketTake a look at Phoenix Cruiser. They offer a few models in your range on either a Ford or Sprinter chassis. They'll also work with you with minor layout modifications and accessories. We're on our 3rd because we like their operation, exemplary customer service and quality. No, I do not work for them.Re: Need For Leveling Jacks??? Please Help Me DecideFWIW, it'll probably be less expensive to have them installed by JAYCO before you take delivery. I got ours at cost because I made it a condition of sale.Re: Broken seat from Even Brake Portable Braking System?I've installed my Even Brake to 3 vehicles and never noticed major strain being placed on the seat(s) during the initial test.
